It's a holiday so I'm at home watching the Oscars. This guy Seth McFarland who is hosting really sucks. Cringe.

Christoph Waltz just won best supporting actor. Predictable. Pretty much a variation of the same character he played in Inglourious Bastards.
Claudio Mirando, Cinematography for Life of Pi. Well deserved.
Who's Christopher Waltz- any relation to Charles Dance?
Visual Effects to Life of Pi.
yeh, sorry Christoph. Any relation to Nick Kristof?
The much hyped Bond tribute. I think all the Bond films have been disappointing. Especially the ones with Roger Moore.
Halle Berry looks great though.
Shirley Bassey singing Goldfinger. Damn that old lady done got some whiteification work done.
I have never seen a host bomb like this before. Even Letterman was better.
Yawn...the Oscars.
Have two cousins with SAG Cards (Screen Actors Guild) and they bore me to tears with their schitck...
I've been a bit busy and haven't even kept up with the movies or who is up this year. Just realized last night that its Oscar time again.
Glad to have your reports, Humbert.
So far, Jennifer Holliday's performance from Dreamgirls has been the highlight of the evening. Standing ovation from the audience and my trousers.
it's a bit gay to watch the Oscars, above all alone sitting in the dark on a sofa
Humbert, never thought of you as a queer
Production Design goes to Lincoln. Good choice. The settings created were stunning.

I've been utterly bored of the Oscars as a viewing spectacle as long as I can remember. All that has changed is I no longer know half of the mannequins being rolled out on their carpets (or wearing them). Post oscars though, discussion about decent films that didn't, or sometimes did, get the nod can yield some decent viewing.
Best original score goes to Life of Pi.
Adele wins best original song for Skyfall.
Jesus! Ricky Gervais was a genius compared to this idiot. At least Gervais was witty.Originally Posted by sabang
