    Deep Purple

Well with the passing of MR LORD..sad tidings and all, whats your favourite DP track?
for me its an odd ditty called ANYONES DAUGHTER..
i always got a chuckle out of the line, 'i stood outside your bedroom window throwing up a brick, i threw one more and that really did the trick!"

RIP JOHN LORD and thank you for those great tracks in me long hair days when i had hair to grow

Great musician from a great band.

One thing's for sure, that bastard God has got a couple of the best keyboard players recently, what with Rick Wright going a few years back.

    If you believe in forever
Then life is just a one-night stand
If there's a rock and roll heaven
Well you know they've got a hell of a band, band, band

The only time I saw Purple was in 84/85 when Mrk 2 reformed, great gig.
Saw Jon Lord a few more times with Whitesnake.

    Another rock legend gone...RIP Jon.

Here's another track from the same gig.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Smoke on the Water.

The guitar riff that has probably been tortured more times by beginners than any riff in history.
