Thread: Best Indie songs ever

Ok... my two favorite 'Indie' tracks from the 90's both live so well worth a watch.

Placebo - Special K. It's a rush just thinking back on it.


And.. Muse - Citizen Erased. This is without a doubt one of the greatest live performances of modern times, for me it's like the scene in Fear and Loathing when Dr Gonzo wants the stereo thrown in the bath with him when White Rabbit reaches it's crescendo, it's so good I want to smoke crack to it and dive bomb off the Empire State..

Yeah I was thinking in the literal sense, 'indie' originally meaning independent label.. PiL were a big champion of independence, and put out some very disturbing music just for the sake of showing they could. Saw a doc on Rough Trade record label as well recently that came about in the same period and started the careers of many big names.
The Bow Wow Wow tune is choice, because it was literally saying, don't buy music from the big companies, record it off the radio instead.
