    My Wireless Connection has gone

Like the title says, no wireless.
No icon on the status bar.
No record of it anymore in the system window at "ipconfig/all"

My pc froze up, with no mouse control, no response from "Ctrl, Alt, Del" so I had to shut the power off.

When I fired it back up, no fuging wireless.
    Running Windows XP (5.1.26600)

My PC Doctor is on a visa fun, so I want to have a look at the problem before he gets back.

And please when replying, first have a look at my avatar, because I'm completely clueless.

    Cheers

^^It's the desktop in my restaurant, what don't have no button.
Don't even have an address for it in the system tray thingy,
And it's not showing up in the Network Connections anymore, it's fooked off.

^ The wireless is working in the resort, I'm sitting next to the PC using a laptop. Don't understand shit about drivers.

google the name of your wireless adaptor + driver......

It's just a piece of software that tells the hardware what it's supposed to be doing....

you then find the correct driver for whichever piece of hardware you are using (checking for versions of windows and then download and install)

obviously you'll need to use another computer and transfer the driver to the other computer before installing

You could go to the company and ask for the driver installation disk. As was mentioned, search the name of your company and add the words: drivers download. If you down load them there will be a read me attached I'm sure. The drivers are likely to go into the system folder inside your windows folder on drive C. If your search turns up a page written in Thai, as mine does, tell your neighbor you're sorry and could he help you for a second with a little translation.

And... since you won't be searching on the sick puter you'll need to down load whatever they send you in a saved folder on your desktop or where ever your downloads are aimed to. Some down loads are direct installs, you don't what those drivers in the Internet puter you'll be using. Copy that folder to a thumb drive or disk and then run it on your machine. If you are asked where to put the drivers look hard at the instructions. Sometimes it automatically goes into the right folder, sometimes not.

what you need to do next is open up you "contol panel", go start - settings - control panel.

Once you have that opened look for the "system" icon

click that and it will open up "system properties"

look for the tab "hardware" and click that

    then click on "device manager"

once that is open go down to network adaptors and see if you can see the wireless adapter listed.

If its not listed there you need to install the drivers for it again in. It would help if you can post on here the brand and model number of the pc also.

Sorry, I forgot to update this before.
The pc I use, is situated in my open air restaurant, so my pc doctor pulled the cover off and pulled out all the cobwebs and shovelled about a cubic metre of crap out of it.
Then we took it across the road, where they are building a couple of houses and used their compressor to blow the rest of shit out.
    Good as new. Cheers.

    ^ Good for you.
Usually when the wireless connection is gone, it means that the neighbour has moved
