Just added hopefully the last bike to my collection,
Triumph Trident 160T, this bike has had 1 owner from new in 1976, it has covered 5000mls, the owner then in 1977 put the bike on display in his office, ( he must have liked it ) he has retired now so sold it to me, it still has it,s original tyres! its just like it left the factory,

Nice looking front end.
Looks gawd awful uncomfortable without the tassels and pointy thingies.
What colors are she going be?
Thought you guys might enjoy this.
Yeh she wont win any comfort awards thats for sure but then it wasnt designed to be a touring bike, Its designed to make young women wet and old ladys shit there pantsOriginally Posted by Mr Earl
Colour wise I am thinking black with red flames or black with yellow flames like the old style hot rods and that mixed with the 2 1/2" pipes, Hyper charger, Long front headlight it should look something like a old hot rod

^ Is the tail of the tank going to pointing towards your chest?
Your seat pan (when you get round to making one) will it follow the angle of the frame leading to the swingarm?
You also have fitted low and forward handle bars. Looks to me you will be riding clamshell style but with your chin on the tank.![]()
The tank does point out a bit but is a fair way from my chest, Allready planed to get a tank made that flows with the bike fame a little down the track. If you are under 4 foot with pigmie arms then it would be a problem with reaching the handle bars. Seat pans in getting padding and covered.

The seat pan I presume will sit in the well between the frame and the rear mudguard. As that frame has quite a steep angle for a seat pan.(judging by ur pic that is).
Another question.
Why did you opt for rubber belt drive instead of the ole' chain & sprocket?
Thats what my buell had on it so thats what I went with, but if it gives me any trouble I can buy the chain and sproket kit to fitOriginally Posted by Travelmate
