If that's a recent pic, sure is a big improvement over when I saw it a few weeks ago. Will be just fine for your first MC. Sides you got a good deal.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog

It's a far cry from earlier days when I used to own a BMW R90S followed by a Laverda 750 SF2 and finally a Laverda 3C.
I don't think I would have the reflexes or the nerve to ride a modern day super- bike these days as they are just manic.

Do any TD members own a blue RS 1100 BMW?

I nearly did the same last month when we pulled into get a feed, parked on some slimmy concret and the moment I put my foot down I started to slip and slid. Only thing that saved me was the wife jumped off and helped me hold the bike up.
The next day I did come of my chair at breakfast which Bung thought was pretty funny![]()

Here's the Dragstar I got from Riggers. It's drive-shaft driven so no greasy chains. Rode it around my Ban Nok area near Khon Kaen every day checking out the various villages and had a ball. Rides nice and smooth. Can't wait to get back tis winter and take a ride up to Nong Bua and meet some of the other guys around Kaeners. Already want to buy another bike as well. Is that black super four special still available at Anan's?

What do you reckon would be a fair price for a second hand, old but reliable 250 cc trail bike, or bigger?

looks the goods but really only 400 cc, all noise going nowhere ,what rigger says alittle more subtsance between the legs will befar more enjoyable, don,t listen to the girls.. size does matter!!Originally Posted by Rigger

You can get tons of those Honda XR 250 "Baja's" in Thailand. that means you can get parts. They look ok, got the two big headlights and a bigger Tank (I think) and can cover some ground without feeling too sore. perfect for checking out around the banks of the Mekong!
I think they go for around 30 or 40 k
Fahn Cahn's
Sounds good. Thanks for that. If you know of a reasonable one for sale please let me know.
That's the idea.Originally Posted by Bung

Yeah, reckon something bigger is in order. Keep an eye for an older 1000cc+ sport bike for me. Something clean like that super four at Anan's but 1000cc, would tickle it.
Oh right, I almost forgot I burnt my leg a little on my first ride on it and naturally it got infected from all the alcohol in me system so I had to lay low for 5 days taking anti's. Just a little burn, though.
