Some comments on above posts - actually Obama on the peddle bike gets more points from me than Palin on a motorcycle. The peddle bike does not require gas.

On troopergate; unless something really big develops out of the investigation I see this as a big non-starter. Even if it is proven the Palin tried to use her office to get this guy canned, if only half of what has been reported about his is true folks will side with Palin on the issue. It will be seen as a mom doing everything at her disposal to keep her family safe. Most of the US will be willing to over look an abuse of power by a goverer to protect their family.

Why I posted:

In Florida, Clinton beset by Palin talk | HeraldTribune.com | Southwest Florida's Information Leader

Quote:
As one history-making woman campaigned in Florida on Monday, another cast a competing glow. Try as Hillary Clinton did to keep all of the focus on Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama -- and off the Republican's spirited new star and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin -- it was rough going.

This particular article is geared towards Clinton’s angst in dealing the popularity of Palin. However, I think that right now Obama is suffering from some “national press spotlight withdrawal”. For much of the last 18 months, Obama has been in the media spot light, but right now he has to put “lipstick on a pig” or poke other jabs at Palin to simply be able to share the spotlight with her.

Don’t worry soon enough the attention will shift back away from Palin.

All in, I think Clinton did a good job at trying to make Palin a non-issue. If Biden and Obama would follow her lead the blue team would be much better off in the long run. There is quite a lot that her and McCain could be feeding the masses about Biden - but they realize the race is with Obama not with Biden. Right now the blue team has lost their focus and are spending too much time on Palin and not enough time on the main guy they are running against - McCain.

Good move by Clinton - Biden and Obama should pay particular attention to:
Quote:
"I am going to stay focused on the issues and keep talking about the issues because that's what matters to the American people," Clinton finally said, with just a hint of edge in her voice.
