Excellent review Chi, as is usual from your good self, not really my sort of food at this stage of my life, (I don't want to look like a fatty ) but great indulgence for the eyes.
I used to go to La opera as I lived in Soi 36, the owner seemed a bit of a tosser, but no doubting the quality of the food and management.

Must say, I am rather jealous of your lovely hands, what sort of lotion do you use?

that sounds like a CHEAPER end meal mate!

you have been out bush too long.

    Quantities not too good either.
oh I see. perhaps sizzlers all you can eat might be the better option then?

give me quality over quantity any day thanks.

and you generally find it was enough to eat anyway, despite not looking like a monster truck derby on your plate.

Any reason why you can't have both?

There is a wide choice of wines available, in many bottle sizes...

Just don't like his italian sausages the rest is very good italian food

If you go for a beer only, you will receive olives, and different italian home made breads, nice too...

    LOL

I thought the same in reference to some of your dishes as pictured on TD. Then I went for dinner and really got to see how HUGE your plates were.

If, I had known your portion sizes I would have declined one of the starters....

Didn't we take home as much as we ate? BTW both the steaks and the tuna are still talked about 'round here.

The thing is, these plates are huge. Just like the plates at Timbas. They ought to be used on a 16 inch tire as a hubcap, not as a dinner plate.

We left there full, so that out to say something.

    167 Sukhumvit is not Asoke...
The other day I was directed to a building in soi 63 Sukhumvit. It took 4 telephone calls before someone managed to give me proper directions. The answer was 'opposite the entrance to soi 2' up Sk 63. But the rubbish I got was take bus to.... or Taxi he know already.

So where is Rossanos? Looks a nice place. Asoke is near enough to Nana etc but Suk 167 must be about Suvarnabhumi.

Asoke Soi 3 (the one that goes to the top of Suk Soi 19), next to Ocean Tower 2. It's a largish Thai house.
