Anyone know a nice hotel in Pattaya good for kids.
I want a good water slide for the kids to play...not me...just the kids...but it should be strong you know just in case.
Good security also, prefer a hotle type than a bungalow cabin type this time. We used to stay at East Sea and that was good, but this time we taking nanny to take care of the kids at night, so want rooms that are secure, not in the middle of a garden where anyone can walk around and knock on the door.
Was looking at Hard Rock for a change, but pricey and not sure of the pool and if its full of yuppies.
Price range from 2k/3.5k ok, we need 2 rooms.
Most important though is the pool and slide.
Again I recommend Pattaya Park. Decent hotel as I have said. They have the best waterpark in Thailand. 100 baht entrance fee. Book the rooms from a hotel service. 1600 to 2500 per night per room.

Thanks, had thought about that place and wondered if it has got any better.
Went there several years ago and it was a dump, overgrown, the bungalows actually looked like they were abandoned almost.
On the websites it is only rated as a 2 star hotel. 3 would have been ok, but 2 ?? even backpacker places get 2 stars and some even 3.
Kinda wanted somewhere that the pool within the hotel has a good slide and kids area. I dont mind going to the water park for the day, but would like the hotel pool to be accessible all the time and fun for the kids. My kids like to swim and fool around all day, inbetween hot showers when they get cold and several rest periods for dad.
So think I need somewhere else, unless it has really changed a lot. Went down that flying fox thing too last time, what a disappointment that was, so slow....expected at least a little speed.

Siam Bayshore is an up market place at the very Southern end of Walking Street. You'd be paying about 3,000 a night though for a family and you wont see any of the street action from the balcony. But they do have several nice pools and other amenities.

Looks nice thanks. They have just the right little water sized slide for the kids to muck about all day.
Looks like 3k x 2 though as we will need 2 rooms, even though they have family arrangement, need seperate room for nanny and kids as we might be foolin around a little bit.
Hey Mate if you've got kids, feel like a nice cold stubby in good surroundings give Pattaya the flick and head for Udon Thani and stay at the President Hotel .
Only about 18mths old nice pool , friendly staff , top brekky , free hotel car to town and airport pickup.
Nice room with all amenities bht850 or family sized suite bht1250 -1450.
Only complaint I have is the hot water is a bit intermittent at times.
Udon is a nice city , plenty of nice restaurants and good shopping , I have been to Pattaya , Phuket , Korat , Bkk and Udon leaves them all for dead.
I have just returned from Thailand after my 4th trip in 18mths, spent a weekend in Pattaya this trip ( been there several times before) and stayed at the Beverly Plaza hotel right in the middle of town and about 5 mins walk through the shortcuts to Walking street.
Older hotel and could do with a facelift , rooms are clean but showing a bit of "useby" , nice pool , great brekky and friendly staff , bht850 for a room twin share 2 adults breakfast included .
Anybody looking for a Pattaya "cheapy" try Utid Court apartments in Soi Backowha ( phonetic spelling only) not grand but clean with western bathroom with compulsory Thai style suicide all over everything shower and standard Thai cripple step.
Good position and bht 400 ( low season) small table bar downstairs with Chang stubby 34bht and Singha 40bht
