^ 5555 Oh, Obama's preacher seemed out of line. Let's move on to how wonderful Michelle is.
They go after the GOP for any little thing they see as a potential slur. You on welfare, too, Panama?

The loony right is the absolute worst when it comes to slander, innuendo & general trash journalism. It is not a monopoly of theirs however- the loony left engages in it's share of muckraking too. What I find amusing however is the sanctimonious howl from the Right about this sort of stuff- talk about people in glass houses.

Troopergate may have some legs in it, given that Palin has hired two attorneys to represent her.

The BIL sprayed the stepkid with mace and threatened family members. Seems a good enough reason to get him off the force.

Indeed he was out of line, and it was reported on . . . so, what is your point? Oh, you don;t have one, just shifting focus and changing tack . . . nothing new.

Welfare? In Malaysia as an expat? My, you are a good example of the intelligent right.

Well, no. Its a good reason to get him arrested for child abuse I would have thought, but using your office to pressure for his dismisal is, well, abuse of power.

and it is alleged that she fired the guy who didn't do her bidding and fire the state trooper.

if this is proven to be true, this broad is completely out of control and deserves to be impeached from her position as governor.

Yes, quite. There is a certain point here that ties in with Sarah's inflexible Evangelist faith, I think- and it can become dangerous in a political situation, or any other situation involving public trust and power.

These type of people are so convinced that they are 'right'- indeed, that they have the monopoly on what is 'right'- that in practise they can fail to see right from wrong. Another problem is that they are so convinced they are 'right'- indeed it can be no other way because they are the 'true Christians'- that it just plain can not be pointed out to them when they are in fact Wrong.

It is no different from any other form of Zealotry, such as Islamic fanaticism, in this regard.

"The independents that can go either way, will likely decide this election, not the "leftie bloggers.""

Exactly, however the leftie bloggers are tearing into Sarah and at the same time exposing their true colors with their disdain for small town America. These vicious attacks by the hardcore lefties will most likely have a backlash which will benefit the GOP, McCain and Palin.

Obamma needs small town America to win the election, but the libs' extremism and hatred may drive small town voters back into the hands of the GOP.

    Karl Rove would be proud.

What libs? Are the left-wing bloggers representative for the Dems?

I don't think independent voters care much for your left/right polarising and stereotyping. If loonie blogs had such influence, voters would have turned against the GOP months ago.

What is noteworthy, is the appeal of religious nutcases in the US, Palin is just the latest in a line of righteous god-fearers aspiring for top political positions. Not the right sort to rely upon to deal with an Islamic threat rationally.

Which is what exactly? Unconditionally cave-in?

Palin is entitled to her religious opinion just as any Muslim.

Of course, but that is not the issue. Would you defend their right to an opinion if a Muslim VP candidate expressed the belief that driving the US out of Iraq is Allah's will, or would you consider them not only unelectable, but unfit for office?

Not a good example, let me try again: There is a difference between holding a "religious opinion" and believing that god wills a certain action or policy.

If a Muslim were elected democratically -- reflected the will of the majority of the constituency. I would accept and support that civil servant just as I will Obama or McCain. On any level, local, state or federal.

    Next question?

Jason...you completely lost it or what?

"Junkie. Pothead. That's where I'd been headed: the final, fatal role of the young would-be black man. Except the highs hadn't been about that, me trying to prove what a down brother I was. Not by then, anyway. I got high for just the opposite effect, something that could push questions of who I was out of my mind, something that could flatten out the landscape of my heart, blur the edges of my memory. I had discovered that it didn't make any difference whether you smoked reefer in the white classmate's sparkling new van, or in the dorm room of some brother you'd met down at the gym, or on the beach with a couple of Hawaiian kids who had dropped out of school and now spent most of their time looking for an excuse to brawl. ...You might just be bored, or alone. Everybody was welcome into the club of disaffection." -- Barack Obama

so if she is found guilty of the allegations, you think she should remain governor?

i'm practically certain you can't, but perhaps you'd like to explain how this quote is relevant to 1. this thread, 2. my post.

^Just another prime example of the lack of character on BO's part vs Sarah Palin. Palin admits to smoking a couple 'left-handed Luckys' but does not revel in the fact as BO apparently does...

so, the quote had nothing to do with this thread or my post. surprise, surprise. just another attempt to distract.

i also noticed that you dodged the question in my previous post regarding what should happen if palin is found guilty of the allegations against her.

par for the course with boon mee.

She ain't gonna be found guilty of anything other than being a great Conservative voice with a decidedly pro-western vibe to it!

    BTW...heh...
