As it relates to Gov. Palin and her policies/beliefs, I must say I have fundamentally different belief's. She is staunchly opposed to; abortion under any circumstances, stem cell research and she is a prototype Christian fundamentalist who believes that "god" is on her side so she must be right.
These beliefs are the very things that drive many moderate conservatives away from the GOP and can only result in further dividing an already severely divided country. Unlike McCain, I have heard nothing that convinces me she will be effective at uniting the country. |
I'm waiting for the onslaught to subside. I'm amazed at how tremendous the attack has been on her in order to squelch the enthusiasm Republicans have for her. It's coming on so hard and fast it difficult to sift through it. Supposably, she cut funding for young girl's in her daughter's position but she actually didn't go along with the proposed increase (translation they always ask for more then they expect to receive). So I don't know that she did cut funding. The dust will have to settle before I'll be able to get an accurate picture of her.
