I don't know who you're referring to as a Liberal, but I am not a Liberal. I vote Libertarian and have been since 1996.

I also noted that Cheney is the exception to the rule. He was/is the most influential and powerful VP in history.

This is so common knowledge, that it's a waste of posting space to even mention.

I think it was because the race is unique, and more importantly, very close according national (but not electoral) polling.
