    Decent hotels in Pattaya

Opinions welcome on wheres good right now
Usually stay Lek as its a great location next door Wannas bar but I know we can do better for the money
me, mrs thai wife and 2 little thai kids age 9 and 7
Areca is full when we come october and november
    Central preferred but not vital
Kids would like a nice pool but thats not crucial neither
Neither is food quality crucial, wife keeps me alive on street food and the odd steak from the spaghetti factory !
Tell you what I like, a nice balcony to sit with a singha or 10 and watch the world go by once the kids are in bed !

Put some friends in LK Renaissance on soi Diana when they were over and they liked that place and I think that matches your specs and budget.

could try Shagwell Mansions in Pattaya Klang. Little out of the way but the place has great food and two bars so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. Plenty of threads on here about the place.

Is this thread about decent places to stay or about places named matching to the city of sin?

with a 7 and 9 year old you stay at the Lek in the center of the shit? Cant see it. I like the buffet but almost blindfold my 10 year olds to take them there.

How can you stay in a place with no pool and have kids that age? What do they do?

book Cosy Beach Hotel through this service. Thailand Hotels - Large selection of hotels and resorts in Thailand nice place 2 pools one freeform and a private beach.

my kids are thai and grew up in pattaya
centre of the shit....why do you go there then ? Always amazed at people who repeatedly go to pattaya then slag it off ! Like the old gits with english wives who shake their heads and tut then rush for the shower
AND lek has a pool so you know it well !

personally i find the cosy beach hotel to be pretty scummy, lots of russians bringing home all sorts of trash at all sorts of hours.

there is a new hotel just opposite varuna yacht club, aboud 200 metres past cosy beach, i think its called PAttya bay hotel, looks ok to me.,

Reminds me of that bird we saw at the big hotel in Jakarta just after we had lunch on the Sunday.

We normally stay at the Sandy Springs on Soi 13 Beach Road. Pattaya Hotel Chonburi Thailand | Sandy Spring Hotel

It's fairly quiet, there's a pool on the 1st floor, there are no girlie bars in the Soi, and the hotel is half way between beach road and 1st road. The rooms are a good size too - an enormous double bed, with lots of room to party around it, and you can get a balcony as well.

There's a restaurant in the soi that does french food, there's the sportsmans arms which does all day food and a few other bar/restaurants as well.

if you book through scandibar.com they'll give you a free beer each day.

Hope this is of some help

Agreed. Overrun with Russians and the digs are rather grubby IMO. Not what it used to be.

Last time down to Pattaya I got the Pattaya Park Hotel for 2 grand. A two bedroom suite with two balconies, kitchen, dining room, and living room. Over 100 sq. meters. The kids and wife loved it.

I was in Pattaya recently with kids & family.. To me there are only two places that make sense for families: Jomtien (don't like the beach, but plenty good value accommodation), or Wong Amart (getting pricey, but perfect area)
