Yes Jimmy was the prince of all guitarists but that concert was circa 1975 if I am not mistaken. Youth has some way to overcome the initial effects of drugs or maybe he was not stoned at the time.
My favourite guitarist now is John Fuciante from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Having said that his abilities have also been affected by drug use and he can't do the things he could and before he almost killed himself with drugs.
His favourite guitarists are Page and Jimmy Hendrix.
What about Bonzo Bonham?. What a legend and nobody has come close to him IMO. See how well he and Page gelled on that track.
