| It seems to me that O'Bama currently has a lot of support from various groups, all of whom would,be offended if he didn't choose one of them as VP.
He has to choose the VP who will cause the least of his supporters to vote Republican by way of a protest vote. He has already driven some women in this direction by defeating Hillary. The damage is already done insofar as women are concerned, so he will probably choose a male VP, but who?
The choice needs to be white as any non-whites will already have made up their minds whether they like Obama or not. He may also have difficulty choosing a VP who is older than himself as it will make him appear less experienced than the VP.
This leaves him with a young inexperienced male VP and he will be screwed into the ground by the Republicans on the exerience issue, which is preceisely where McCain has been hitting him.
Personally I think the choice now is worse than 2004. A naive smiling Christian bible-thumper who wants to make American workers pay for free healthcare for the unemployed whilst eradicating world poverty, or a greater war monger than Bush. |
