Thanks for the ideas. In the end I ended up staying at the President Inn on Soi 11. It has a large bathtub and tiny TV with Bloomberg and some other English Channels. Only 700 baht that was what you get for your money. I checked out the Business Inn which is new; that was 1,600 for a single. The Swiss Park was 2,000 for one person and 2,100 for two. All three of these are in the same area. Yep, I ended up in the same old dingy part of town. I planned on drinks with a friend up at Londoner but we made our way down to cowboy and were there until after midnight. I walked back alone past the thermae and all that; it was a meat market along Suk at 2am! Nope I didn't partake. In the end my hotel room was good enough for the amount of time I spent in it. Next time I am going to find a place on the other side of the city of maybe in Ayuttaya.
