some good suggestions, thanks. The one on Soi 33 Home Place looks interesting but it doesn't show a kingsize bed in any of the pictures. I've just gotten used to sleeping in a big bed over the years. Also I would like a bathtub. It really looks clean though. I'll think about this one.

Here's what the website says:

"There are different types of rooms available at [at]Home Place,
6 Superiors, 11 Deluxes, 2 Studios, 4 Suites. Every room has air conditioning, a private bath room with hot & cold shower, a telephone, a refrigerator and cable TV (HBO, CNN, ESPN, NHK, and Local channels )"

:::: [at] Home Place ::::

The Bourbon Street Restaraunt, Bar and Boutique Hotel has:
  • Air Conditioning
  • Color "Dual Language" TV's
  • UBC TV English Language Cable Television With CNN, HBO, ESPN, Cinemax, Star Sports and More....
  • King Sized Beds
  • Worldwide Direct Dialing (IDD) From Your Room
  • Mini Bar
  • Private Shower Bath
  • In-House Security Safe
  • Daily Maid Service
  • Room Service
  • Laundry
  • Business Services (Internet Access and E-mail, Fax & Photocopy Services, Travel Arrangements,)
Doesn't have the bathtub so it's a no go for me. I need a boiling hot bath. That place has been around a long time I guess. Been there about 10 years ago, it had pretty good food.

The majestic is too close to the nightlife for me. I want a little peace and quiet. A massage in my room might not be bad though.

Thanks for the suggestions. Right now I am only considering the HomePlace. The days of cheap rooms with all the features seem to be over
