It seems to me that
if you happen to have right-wing political leanings you have more or less free licence to personally abuse people, make off-topic remarks, constantly change the topic and otherwise disrupt and make impossible reasoned debate. Helps if you’re American too, apparently. Or maybe that's just an accident of coincidence based on the foregoing. Either way it’s not so much no standards as it is double-standards.
