^Imaginary demand from India and China? I suppose that imaginary demand is in respect of imaginary fuel to go in their new imaginary cars and trucks...

I suppose Butterfly still thinks quaintly that they all go around on rickshaws and bicycles still.

    Frightening thought.

Back to facts (you know those annoying things that get in the way of your opinion):

Chinese car ownership 1990 - 1 million. Source:

Individual Car Ownership Surging in China

    Chinese car ownership 2000 - 16.0891 million; 2001 - 18.0204 million; 2002 - 20.5317 million. Source:

Demand for automobiles to maintain rapid, steady growth (hktdc.com)

Chinese car ownership esimated in 2005 - 30 million. Source:

Facts & Figures of Chinese Auto Industry -- Beijing Review

Chinese car ownership in 2007 - 56.97 million. Source:

Car Ownership up 32% in 2007 at China Car Times

According to CSMWorldwide, an American market analysis firm, China’s auto output would surpass 6 million units in 2008; China would replace Germany as the world’s third largest auto manufacturer in 2006; and by 2015, China may transcend Japan to become the second largest auto power.

So then Butterfly - imaginary demand for fuel, eh?

I can do the numbers for India as well if you like, but I guess that, once again, you are embarrassed enough as it is being hopelessly, utterly wrong.

why don't you compare those numbers with the growth of car demand in the west ?

I doubt you are qualified to make that conclusion. Oil is dropping already, supply can meet demand, and yet you keep barking that the world is going to end, and that we are running out of oil while the facts state otherwise. Will the oil keep droping in the coming weeks. No idea. But I know the price fluctuations we are seeing now have nothing to do with REAL demand.

You are just another gullible drone

^^Only you could try to wriggle from stating that fuel demand from China was 'imaginary' when being shown that, in fact, the number of cars on China's roads had gone from 1 million to over 56 million in 17 years and is increasing by 6 million per year.

When will you admit you are simply wrong?

when you stop being a gullible fool, or twisting your logic to make a point, which is probably never,

let me repeat it very slow for you: the current speculation of oil price has nothing to do with the REAL demand of oil (from China or India). That doesn't mean that China is not consuming more oil, and I never said that wasn't the case, as economic growth always lead to greater consumption of natural resources.

So instead of barking like a little scared dog to the bad news of the world, go read a book on the subject and learn something other than just posting news about the end of the world,

    ^What are you talking about?

You stated that demand from China was "imaginary". You have shown this statement to be laughable, stary-eyed nonsense, yet deny, deny, name-call and attempt to change the subject.

1 million cars 1n 1990 to 56 million in 2007, growing at 6 million per year. Which word don't you understand? These are not 'imaginary' cars. Thery are real, consuming real oil products.

The only imaginary thing on this thread is the world you live in!

Yeah, the "imaginary" demand that give justification to push oil to the current level are not REAL, just imaginary,

I mean how more clear do you need to be ? or are you just retarded ?

No, you need to repeat very slowly 1 million cars in 1990, 56 million in 2007, growing a 6 million per year. This is not simply consuming 'more' oil, it is consuming a negligable amount then to consuming a large amount now, growing to a simply massive amount as time progresses.

And then you multimply by two to factor in India.

Your nonsense on this subject demonstrates why no-one listens to you about virtually any subject at all.

matched by a growing supply of oil, so the price at the end doesn't move really,

    Figures?

I provided actual facts to back up my assertions, you have just provided an opinion. No change there then...

^^ fucking google it, it's everywhere, and these are facts, not opinion

your opinion is misguided because you don't have the knowledge to understand how supply and demand work, hence you fall for every news bit that send false alarms, or misunderstand figures and take them as facts for your misled opinion

seriously, document yourself with basic economic principles and then I will be happy to discuss with you

No, you google 'it', whatever 'it' is, then post facts and figures to present a proper case.

I quoted facts, with verifyable sources, not opinion, mine or otherwise. Do you understand the difference?

I did document the facts, which you keep ignoring. My expertise on economic matters has managed to serve me professionally for some 20-years, whereas your lack of ability to understand basic economic matters has been demonstrated (yet again) on this thread.

As I have posted the facts (which you have not challenged) it can't be ignorance, I only wish I was fresh out of school, but sadly for both me and you, that isn't the case either.

no you didn't, only figures to support a misguided point. You don't understand how those numbers fit in the great scheme of things. Bits here, bits there, and you draw conclusions without connecting any dots.

There we are, ultimate French white-flag waving on an arguement. Just post a smilie.

Anyway, just in case Butterfly starts to wank himself off at the thought that I have not responded further, I am off out for a beer.
