The reason I was asking is not as Momo suggests. I thought it was on the forum in the past that you really from Pakistan, but did not practice Islam. So I wondered why as you say you defended the generalization of Islam.

killing is killing is killing is killing.
What, according to you, is Khimir? A cloth that covers face and head? A cloth that covers head to toe?

tis all barbaric. this emphasis on stoning is simply tactical and little more than an effort to do some poo throwing at the muslims.
I have done some reading here.
Understanding the Face Veil
That's idealistic bullshit.killing is killing is killing
A thief has broken into a man's house and just killed his wife and children. The thief points gun at the man who shoots and kills the thief.
A man strangles his daughter to death with his bare hands because he caught her dating a Westerner.
same?
^^ Now from Islamic point of view women must wear hijab to cover her head (not that sack of shit - head to toe). From my point of view it is up to the women to decide.
Obs, I see a contradiction above. I am confused. You state it's "barbaric" but then state is is "simply tactical and little more than an effort to do some poo throwing at Muslims."
IMO,
It's not tactical, and not an effort. This stoning is bad behaviour. You're blaming the people who think this is bad?
I'm confused, Obs.

^ Exactamundo Milky!!!!!!!!!!!! It confuses the heck out of me.![]()

my government kills humanely or without cruelty or unusual punishment (poisoning). another government simply allows the person to me killed by the methodology that is quickest or most deligtful to the agrieved. still another allows for public and gruesome methods in which the public can participate in the killing.
i dont see significant moral differences in the above examples government sanctioned killing.
are we really taking solace in the percetion that we, the west or nonmuslim countries in this case, are more civilized, sophisticted iand more highly developed in our methoology?
we in the west like our state sanctioned killing sweet and socially palatable. so we spend years while the convicted awaits a real verdict as to sentence -- that is very often rooted in the socio-economic status, race and gender of the convicted. and if we kill'em we do it clean, careful and with a nice protocol.
with respect to texpats point above -- he is correct, they are not the same. i am referring to the taking of life subsequent to law of whatever land we are discussing.

same as xians. is that so difficult to accept?Originally Posted by Milkman

abortion, capital punishment, homosexulaity, after life -- is there a christian concensus? hell no.

murdering a man when there are available alternatives to controlling his behavior, is barbaric. the method used to kill is beside the point.
^ imo
I'm not a Christian, but if there were a branch of Christianity today that stoned and murdered 5,000 people a year in the name of honor, I feel quite sure the other branches of Christianity (and the rest of the world) would step in to stop it. It's called lunatic fringe and must be kept in check by the mainstream. All religions have it.
And no, Obs, before you start hyperventilating, the US government isn't Christian.
The US government is Jew.![]()
