Bush finally wants to get Bin Laden

Get Osama Bin Laden before I leave office, orders George W Bush

Get Osama Bin Laden before I leave office, orders George W Bush - Times Online

I guess Bush is a little scared that Osama might just be dangerous after all...to him!

How will he ever be able to enjoy life with that monster!

George Bush is going to face lots of days in court once he is booted out of office. he won't enjoy his retirement.

George Bush, you and your family can go to fucking hell!

I read the articles about this today, and found it a bit laughable - and sad.

He likely wants to find Osama Bin Laden before leaving office so he can be percieved as making the world safer - and attempt to improve his image and legacy, which won't be very good.

    How ridiculous.

Truth be told, the reason the Bush administration has this new found fervour is not because of Osama. It is because of Obama.

Not sure how long he has the Secret Service in position after he is out of office? I am wondering if they will still take a bullet for him or an RPG at his mode of transport. We know one thing for sure that his protection detail are gonna have their hands full.
I would not like to be protecting one of the most unpopular men on the planet. Way to many loose cannons out there.

Protection for life, and I believe the security detail is pretty significant even for ex yank pressies.

No worries he'll be enjoying his retirement and making millions doing speech tours/sitting on boards (as every president does), plus working on the GWB Presidential Library.

Yeah you are probably right Maverick. But will any of them still take a bullet for an ex President!! Not so sure about that.
Hitman only needs one shot and one good opportunity. How many Presidents has America lost due to assassination ? Can,t remember but its a few and not many foreign assassins as far as I am aware.

Not so sure - I'd think secret service take this as a matter of duty, no one wants someone shot on their watch. Makes them look bad.

This is about Bush, not Clinton. Clinton's cruise missel strikes were also before 9/11.

    We need to remember this.

This thread is about Bush's recent attempt to "get Bin Laden," and the possible political motives.

^ My point is that for some reason, no one seems to really want to get him.

I mean could it be that the US government is not trying at all - Dems and republicans? Maybe they don't want to get him and EVERYONE in Washington knows it.

Thanks for the clarification. I understand now.

I do believe, that it was/is better for OBL to be "out there." It's easier for the US government to do what it wants to do and attain and maintain, public support for such foreign policy actions.

9/11, OBL, and Iraq were never about GOP vs. DEMS in my opinion.

D and R are ONE, political party.

    Collusion.

That is what I am saying. They are all in each other's pants and could care less what is best for the country as long as they line their pockets and their friends pockets.

They make promises to get votes ad then do what is best for them.

    Both parties suck.

Fuck this drunkard mother fucking, ass licking, confused shit head. First he tells us that OBL is a great threat. Then he tells us that OBL ain't his priority. Now again he tells us that OBL should be captured.

Is he taking some sort of cheap drugs now a days?
