^each of those films/soundtracks was in some way life changing for me.

The soundtracks for Schindlers List, Sophie's Choice and Trainspotting are great.

Got to put in a vote for the original Star Wars trilogy though. Schoolbook example of efficient use of themes to accentuate the scenes, along classical music lines.
