It just continues, and exacerbates, current US issues such as over reliance on hydro carbon energy, gratuitous consumption thereof, ballooning government debt and foreign indebtedness, and environmental issues.
Yes, the federal gas tax is .18 cents I believe. A bandaid covering a larger problem. Election pandering and it does reveal the simplicity and silliness of some of the candidates. The masses are also part of this foolishness.
