Fox news is in a surprising turnabout.
All of a sudden, the once-frosty relationship between Fox News and the Democratic candidates seems to have grown warmer. Mrs. Clinton and Barack Obama, who steadfastly refused to attend Fox-sponsored debates last year, are now giving plenty of interviews as they court Fox’s viewers, who are largely white, conservative and undecided.http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/02/bu...ref=television“It’s probably true that we appeal to white working-class voters,” said Brit Hume, the network’s Washington managing editor and the host of “Special Report.” “The candidates are going where the voters are.”
Conversely, Fox seems to have softened its stance toward the Democrats, mindful of the intense viewer interest in the prolonged primary season. Although Fox News remains firmly in first place among news channels, CNN has crept up in the ratings on primary nights. So Fox wants to appeal to people who might otherwise flip the channel in search of more time with the Democrats.
In short, Fox News and the Democrats abruptly find each other useful.
Guess it's time for all the Fox News haters to tune in?![]()

Rasmussen poll: Most don’t agree with Wright or believe Obama. What a surprise, eh?
A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 30% of the nation’s Likely Voters believe Barack Obama denounced his former Pastor, Jeremiah Wright, because he was outraged. Most—58%–say he denounced the Pastor for political convenience…
Fifty-six percent (56%) say it’s at least somewhat likely that Obama “shares some of Pastor Wright’s controversial views about the United States.” That figure includes 26% who say it’s Very Likely Obama holds such views. At the other end of the spectrum 24% say it’s Not Very Likely that Obama shares such views. Just 11% say it’s Not at All Likely.
Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election.
A Deplorable Bitter Clinger
Well, I reckon this gives us a somewhat quantitative assessment of what some of the people think some of Obama's views are shared with some of Wrights views, somewhat!Originally Posted by Boon Mee

isn't it a daily tracking poll too? which, of course, are notoriously inaccurate.
FYI.....rasumussen does the polling for foxnews.

Here's some interesting findings as reported by CNN today.
Analysis: The Wright effect on presidential race
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Politics is a business of numbers, and the numbers favor Sen. Barack Obama. But they are changing in ways that give Sen. Hillary Clinton some hope and have dramatically changed how Republicans look at the presidential election.
In a world of so many polls and findings within those polls, a few stand out:
• Six in 10 Americans have an unfavorable opinion of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's former pastor, according to the latest CNN Opinion Research Corp. survey.
• Nearly four in 10 Americans (38 percent) have an unfavorable opinion of Obama in the latest CNN polling, up 10 percentage points from the beginning of the year.
• Half of Americans think a John McCain presidency would bring different policies than the Bush administration.
• And in a new Pew Research Center national survey, Clinton's lead among whites who didn't attend college has increased to 40 percentage points from 10 in March.
In his analysis of the Pew data, research director Andrew Kohut writes, "Fewer Democrats ascribe positive qualities to Obama than did so a month ago, with white working-class Democrats, in particular, expressing more skeptical views of the Illinois senator.

We'll see how much "Wright Effect" there is in this for Obama, and in particular, how much of this benefits McCain in a general election should he face Obama.

This Pastor will be the downfall of Obama and cause him to lose against both Hillary and McCain.

Actually, Wright looks pretty dam white.
What did BO know about Wright and when did he know it?
Seems like right from the start. This issue ain't gonna go away, boys...heh
"To the question of the moment—What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it?—I answer, Obama knew everything, and he’s known it for ages. Far from succumbing to surprise and shock after Jeremiah Wright’s disastrous performance at the National Press Club, Barack Obama must have long been aware of his pastor’s political radicalism. A careful reading of nearly a year’s worth of Trumpet Newsmagazine, Wright’s glossy national “lifestyle magazine for the socially conscious,” makes it next to impossible to conclude otherwise."
Jeremiah Wright's 'Trumpet'

Booners, of course Obama knew everything. Only an idiot would maintain otherwise. He was using Wright as a political stepping stone. I can't blame him for that. We've all done it.
Yes He does, so does Obama, but as long as there is 1/32 of darkie blood and 31/32 of human blood, according some old shit that used to be in the Southern Confederate states, which at an earlier time was a disadvantage, they were required to claim to be Negro, and now it is to their advantage because of the laws favoring Minority's.Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon

Booners,
Obama of course absolutely knew the fibre of his buddy the Reverend Wright. How can you be so close to somebody for 20 years and not know that.
However, it was a matter of 'you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.' The problem is that Wright didn't get scratched back enough.
This is why we're in this situation.
We've all made deals for favors, even in our simple jobs or whatever. We give something and we expect something in return.
Wright feels he's owed more. He wanted to share in the glory of a future President. Obama thought he gave him enough glory as a Senator. Wright's a terrible liability for Obama going forward. That's it in a nutshell. Wright might be the downfall for Obama in the end, just due to simple ego.
A potential President brought down by a nutcase preacher. Only in America.
Or by being caught up in a Gay murder scandal?:
"Choir director at White House Hopeful's controversial Chicago church shot to death.
Presidential hopeful Barack [Hussein] Obama has become tangled in a gay-murder probe rocking his controversial Chicago church as insiders ask: How much does he really know about the choir director's savage slaying? So far, Chicago cops' investigation into the murder of the Trinity United Christian Church's gay choir director has come up empty. But a top Chicago private detective tells GLOBE he believes the shooting death of 47-year-old Donald Young may be connected to Obama, who belongs to the church once headed by scandal-scarred preacher the ["]Rev.["] Jeremiah Wright."

PASTOR IN SEX SCANDAL
REV. WRIGHT DONE ME WRONG: CHURCH LADY
"He almost wrecked Barack Obama's presidential dreams, and now firebrand pastor Jeremiah Wright has helped destroy a Dallas church worker's marriage - and her job, The Post has learned.
Elizabeth Payne, 37, said she had a steamy sexual affair with the controversial, racially divisive man of the cloth while she was an executive assistant at a church headed by a popular Wright protégé."
