Perhaps the blue collar, nose-to-the-grindstone workers who take personal responsibility seriously are at work to cover their car payments and mortgages and, while they still follow the election, don't feel an overwhelming desire to go out and be seen and vent publically and pose and posture and wear silly signs.

Good note on the car payments. Back in my hometown, I know people of all ages and income levels making car payments. Making car payments at 40? Things are not looking for good financially - or perhaps there is a lack in financial common sense. "I want it."
Yes, blue collar workers are responsible; yes, white collar workers are responsible.
Many are; many are not.
But even the one that are, are feeling the pressure financially. People are paying more for the
fixed expenses. These are expenses that you have to pay: mortgage/rent, car, gasoline, food, etc.
People are slipping, and there isn't gong to a change in that.
