Probably won't happen as there are more Red States than Blue and by the time November rolls around, this Obamamainia thing will be as flat as an open bottle of Chang left out. Obama is taking some serious hits that won't go away.

    2. Won't renounce that so-called 'Rev' Wright.

It'll out fade as storms in a teacup once Hillary is out and the media focus on McCain's background and antics.

serious hits? that certainly remains to be seen...in either a short term or long term view.

my guess is that these issues will be all but forgotten 7 months from now....except by those who weren't going to vote for him anyway. honestly, how many americans do you think care that he hasn't renounced his ex minister? don't christians espouse 'hating the sin, but not the sinner'?

Admirable pursuit but you know in your heart Obama is the Michael Dukakis of 2008. But even beyond the Dukakis comparison, Obama is turning out to be a very devisive figure. His elitist comments show a severe disconnect with 'Middle America'.

My thinking is that the Jackass candidate will win the election, and both the legislature and the WH will be controlled by them. How McLame ever won the nomination is beyond me, since he is nothing but 'Jackass Lite'. Why vote for that, when you can have the Real Deal?

Everyone seems to love voting for Fascists these days. And I am being totally accurate here in my definition of things. "Boon", you are wrong calling all these Jackasses Marxists, or socialists. Granted, some are, but almost all of them are Fascists. Why own the means of production, when you can totally control and regulate the Hell out of it? The trouble with everyone, including my friends on the right, throw words around like they are a dime a dozon. The truth is that, just as the 20th century was the Fascist century, so too may be the 21st. It's a shame too.

As for me,I will be voting Libertarian Party this fall, like I usually do. The Republican Party is truly Stupid AND Gutless. They don't deserve to be in charge. They rode in on a high horse, and within two years had abandoned most of their lofty ideals. They can Kiss My Ass.

Well, I've got my John McCain noseplugs all set for November as voting a Liberterian ticket might be more of an intelligent/objective vote, we cannot allow the Democrats to raise taxes (again) as they will surely do if elected.

McCain has pledged not to raise taxes. However, so did Bush Senior, right? Remember "Read My Lips,................."? I trust McCain about as far as I can throw him.

He has already told everyone that he intends to enact AGW legislation, and Junior is leading the way today. The Republicans are totally worthless, and should be disbanded. We need a true second choice, instead of Jackass Lite. Neal Boortz is correct, the S&Gs need to be "History". I am through with them.

apparently boon mee was told by the bloggers to use the word 'elitist'.....he used it four times yesterday---not including the one he put in the red he sent me.

    it's actually pretty sad.

Well, at least he learned how to spell it from his "grassroots info" sources, he does have an edge over his pal John L.

Who said blogs aren't good for anything?

i don't want to give the impression that i'm anti-blog.
there are more than a few political bloggers out there who are quite reputable and make genuine contributions to the discourse....unfortunately boon mee hasn't come across them yet.
but more to the point, even if they were reputable, what's to be gained by simply parroting (or more commonly cutting and pasting) someone else's opinion?

for example, i think if one were to check the blogs that boon mee regularly cites here, you'd find that the word 'elitist' is featured prominently.

The advantage of the term "elitist" is, that it is fairly nondescript and consequently can not easily be disproved like allegations of being a Muslim fundie, commie or black racist.

It may put many of the followers of the rightwing blogosphere off that they have never heard of it before and it's relatively difficult to remember how to spell it, but it might just stick unlike the other labels branded about.
