In spite of this attempt to depict her as the Racist, I just don't buy it. Have we seen anywhere near this much attention on Mrs McCain, a woman who's only real achievement was snagging an old married guy 15 years her senior, and breaking up a family in the process? Nope. But she's White. 
This is thinly disguised Racism. Michelle Obama has little if nothing to apologise for, and a lot to be proud of. |
I don't know what her clothing has to do with her ideologies, but that's a nice trophy to have, I guess. Obviously she loves dressing up and recently noted: "I'm a big fan of accessories. I'm married to one."
I know her academic achievements, SB, but I am listening to what she is saying now. She is heavily focused on raising the standards of the low-income black commmunity, demanding that Americans give up a bigger piece of their pie (ie, way more taxes) to fund healthcare/social progs, has stated that Barack could be shot just going to the gas station because he is a black man, and her now sneaked out thesis is also being labeled as racist (google michelle obama racist comments). OK, as Norton noted, that is her student days, but I still think that sentiment remains with her.
I just keep watching coz she lets bits slip in her speeches. Her handlers are conscious of her "racist" image, too, as they recently shouted "we need more white people" behind her for a speech -- you know, gotta get the news images that whites love her. The mainstream media is just gushing over them both. Fine, read American bloggers, watch some clips on Youtube, watch some right-wing news just to get an overall opinion, not just the lefties'.
