Thread: Sukhumvit soi 7/1

Not far into the soi is a place you'll want to bookmark, the Star Inn.
When you're rushed for a place to put your head down for an hour or two it's very handy. Bit pricey but if you have a deadline and you've just pulled in the Beergarden, it's a lot closer than the Playboy!
300 baht an hour and not every room has a toilet but I have fond memories.


Moving down the soi there's the Parnthip massage place where the girls are very hopeful. I think they have a lot of competition in soi 7/1 and they've taken to wearing a pleasant uniform


After the Tailors you come to the 'Boo-Sa-Bar' which was the first girly bar in the soi. If you like the 'in your face' style with 'hands on' this place will do.

Sitting shopulder to shoulder with Boo-Sa is the P.P.Bar which was the second 'new' bar to open. Like the first one? You'll like the second.


I must extend my sincerest apologies to this bar which is opposite the P.P. because I forgotten the name of the place. I shall rectify this in the near future. The bar? Yep same/same.



The Night Flight Bar has been around in one form or another I believe and now is trying to fit in with the otter bars in the locale. During the day looks like a nice quiet place for a beer!



Maxims is a hotel that has been in the soi for God knows how long and with the growth in bars, girls and fellas, they have joined in as well with the bar and tables and chairs.

Back to the other side of the soi again we have the 'Crazy Hot' Bar.
Snugly fitting into the 'Life in your armpit' theory it's jammed in between P.P. and Siam Smile. Any noticable difference between any of these bars would be a welcome addition to the thread!


Here is Siam Smile. It's ......it's .....it's another bar. Has beer, girls, music and barstools. What more could you want?



Down the bottom we have Tequila Dragon. This place is a double shophouse, as you can see, and it's has pool tables, beer, girls and barstools. The newest place in the soi if I recall correctly. It's flash.

The last port of call on Poolie's Day Off is my personal favorite.
The 'Down Under' Bar.
Favorite for a couple of reasons, one not being because it's an Aussie bar nor the fact than you can buy Aussie beers such as Fosters, VB or Crown Lager, not even because, unlike their sisters at the other bars in soi 7/1, the girls here don't paw you or beg for lady drinks.

No, the first reason is the guy who runs the place, Rob is a great bloke in all areas and the place reflects this. He welcomes his patrons as they walk in, a bit of old fashioned hospitality, and he's always helpful to his patrons.

The other reason I like the bar is the people you mee there. The majority of customers are expats working in and around Sukhumvit and they're by and large a friendly bunch. granted, there's a lot of Aussies and the odd(?) Kiwi to be found but finding a wanker there is a rarity.

Down Under specialises in sport. so if you like your football, rugby, Aussie rules, cricket, F1 it's a good place to head for. Rob's got a big screen projector and regularly holds special events for the big games.



There's no 'Short Time Bar' exposes in my thread but this chubby young thing was giving me a flash. thank God i missed.


And in true Aussie tradition they serve kangaroos here as well..


There you have it Sukhumvit soi 7/1. A quieter alternative to Nana for an afternoon's imbibement. Enjoy!

Soi 7/11 is a dump, worst part of the jungle that is nana to asoke. Even all those pics you posted are filled with ugly munters, whats the attraction?

I walked down that way about 3 am the other night, the farangs are like the living dead down there, foods crap at the stalls, and the women are just fucking horrible to look at.

That areas only good for the pool halls.
