Yes, I read that too. Quite interesting. All candidates for the highest office in the US and most powerful position in the world will be guilty of crafting their image carefully in their ambition to be something great. If the that summary of Obama's book is correct, it does appear that he clearly chose to be black, but also clearly had the advantages of an upper class white upbringing. The author suggests that Obama harbors deep resentment toward his white mother and his white side, and in fact does not like whites. It further suggests that he uses his charisma and good looks and ethnicity to attract white women to his views. The issue of race is not going away in this election.
