That's right, 9-11 didn't just happen on the spur of the moment.

I saw Desmond Tutu give a speech in Tokyo many years ago. Basically, he said all whites are evil. What a racist for a man of the cloth.

^IMO, that statement will be costly to Obama. If Obama has held him out as his spiritual advisor, but he has made a statement like that, it will definitely turn many Democrats to Hilary.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable video of Obama on a church pew with Rev Wright spewing his hate messages. Obama - categorically denied being at any of those type sermons.

I think he would get away with that also , he was basically laughing when questioned during his interview when asked if the same Reverend performed his marriage ceremony and baptized his kids.

^The rule is about attributing the source. As Boon Mee was specifically referencing Halle Berry's comments. Those were referenced in the blog he cited and attributed to the Philadelphia Daily News. There is no requirement that the source must be a primary or first hand source from the Philadelphia news itself.

The priest that baptised me was one of those fire and brimstone types, a Father Sheehan, Irish Catholic.

Thus, I was brought up Anglican. Father Sheehan was later shunted back to Ireland amidst hushed up allegations of kiddy fiddling.

Now tell me, what does this have to do with me, and my suitability or otherwise to run for Office? Sometimes, I just plain don't get America. Rev. Wright is the Pastor of Obama's congregation. I don't think that his 'god curse America' comment was apt, but what does that have to do with Obama?

^^Ray, you need to calm down a minute. Boon Mee posted a link to a comment Halle Berry made, which was posted on the blog he referenced, and which was attributed to the primary source.

If you contend that she never made this comment, please provide proof, and his post will be deleted. If not, you should exercise more discretion in the bones you pick.

does it matter that halle berry said it? what is at issue is the seemingly conscious effort to hide the source.....an anti obama site. if this is permissable, so be it.

i'm not questioning the fact that boon mee has the right to waste his and our time by posting links to silly blogs that quote the opinions of actresses. the issue is what i see as a conscious effort to disguise the source. i honestly don't know how i can make it any clearer than that. if the link is to obamamessiah or any other vitriolic blogs he continually cites, should he be permitted to hide the true source by typing something innocuous instead?

Disguising a source is calling it something that it is not. He called it Halle Berry. That blog contained a quote from Halle Berry. I'm afraid I don't follow your vehement objections to this. What should he have called it? "Halle Berry's comments as quoted on a far right wing nutcase blog?"

In this era of ohh so political correctness , any other politician would be out on his ass with having any type of a relationship with someone like Rev Wright , let alone being as close to him as Obama is.

Wright is the Pastor of an acknowledged succesful Church- a useful endorsement for Obama, until this latest stuff. I don't see how they are so close though- Obama converted to Xtian in his congregation, and like every Pastor, his kids were baptised there. He wasn't at any of these controversial sermons, and frankly if he was, so what?

I do not believe for a minute that an accomplished US citizen is just an automaton controlled by some priest.
