| ^Hilary publicly stated she didn't support those comments, but there may be a more sinister side to this:
I just watched Anderson Cooper 360 and they featured analysis of the Ferraro comment as well as others by "Surrogates" of Clinton and the Clinton campaign. There is speculation that the Clinton campaign is intentionally having Surrogates make these inflammatory type statements, and then having Hilary publically state she doesn't support them.
All in an effort to undermine the support for Obama, play on deep racial divides and polarize her large white vote even more against him.
Exit polls done recently confirm that her supporters are more fervent than ever. 70+% of them would never consider Obama for President. That sends a signal to the Superdelegates that if Obama wins the nomination, many of the Clinton supporters won't vote democratic, thereby ensuring a McCain win.
Very clever tactics, and very underhanded. |
