WASHINGTON (AP) — The first female vice presidential candidate and a fundraiser for Hillary Rodham Clinton suggested Democrat Barack Obama only achieved his status in the presidential campaign because he's black. The Obama campaign called on Clinton Tuesday to denounce the comments.
" If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," Geraldine Ferraro told the Daily Breeze of Torrance, Calif., in an interview published last Friday. " And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." |

Ferraro was a horrible choice for VP.
Race will be injected more over the next 8 months.
