^ From the wizbang link in Boonie's post. I'll see if I can find another source, or maybe Boon has one.

Obama wants us to pay 845 billion dollars to help the U.N. "relieve global poverty". We, the taxpayers, will of course be the ones to pick up the tab.
As President, Obama is promising us 850 billion dollars in new spending, 850 billion of which will likely be wasted.

Don't forget he will also improve the economy of Mexico to the point we won't have an illegal alien crisis anymore.

One would hope so, because a link to a blog that in turn links to the laughably named 'Accuracy in Media' (there's a misnomer if ever there was one!) is stretching things a bit.

To be expected from Booners Jet, little bit disappointing coming from you.

McCain isn't very knowledgeable. He's also too old.

He doesn't say he's a Neo-Con but he has all the earmarks of one.

The GOP is starting to remind me of the old Democrats: they cannot find suitable Presidential candidates.

Perhaps, Fezell observed, some whites will begin to take notice that blacks are flocking to Obama out of racial loyalty and wonder why they can't do the same. "Only white voters are expected to look beyond race," he said.

Taylor thinks white people want to vote for the right black candidate out of generosity of spirit. They want things to go better for black people, which, he said, is also why they recoil at the IQ argument, and, time after time, recall for him how "the smartest kid in their class was black."

"I think many smarter, far-thinking blacks are going to be worried that any time they start talking about discrimination, certainly institutional racism, people are going to say, 'Hey, look, you've got a black president for heaven's sake.'"

[ Multiculturalism rears its ugly head: people vote for who they think is like them, except those who fling the pity vote. ] news on 02.27.08 @ 05:28 PM CST [link] [No Comments]

Well, it's all about the money - i.e. taxes isn't it?
Let's have a look at what the last Democrat in the White House did, eh?

I didn't see anything in your Kraut Nazi paper that had any interest to me, I did open that one of your usually stupid posts because of what jet said, and did see in your fav paper about some Nazi huns raising hell because some folks want to log some trees off of their own privately owned land, not gov land but private holdings.
But you should be able to do that without interference from a bunch of no goodniks telling you what you can do with private property in the land of the free and the home of the brave..

But if they are wanting to hug the trees then they should get out the check book and buy the land in their own name and then do as they wish..

No, coz the more money folks have, the more they spend, which helps to keep the economy going. Strong economy = strong currency. Pay more taxes and the gov uses it to fund social progs, altho some of these (ie, infrastructure) can help as the gov pays private cos to do the jobs. Of course, many other factors are at work (ie, the current credit crisis brought on mainly by the subprime defaults is dragging the US down at the mo -- people cannot meet their mortgage payments, and also do not have enough to spend.)
That's why I will always be conservative in thought. Work hard, give some for taxes, but make my own choice on where I spend and donate.

Boonie, thanks for the tax comparison. That should shut up a few folks. Guess if the Dems get in, I'm better off paying the same levels in Canada with a healthcare card that enables me to wait 12 hours for services for free.

Too much focus on taxes when there is a 9 Trillion dollar deficit.

    And, Medicare will bankrupt America.

Raise taxes, but spending, to fund Medicare or wipe out the program.

Taxes don't mean much at this point. We cannot change the road the US is on now, financially.

    The train has already crashed.

Can't agree with you there - lower taxes increase small business productivity. More money in folks pockets as disposable income means greater GNP.

As far as I can see Republicans made a mess of the USA, I do not know if the Democrats will do better if they win, but meaby the game is worth the candle.

Yeah but those wars aren't going to pay for themselves. Lower the tax and stimulate the econoy sure, but then lower taxes also mean less revenue to pay for the costs of Afhganistan/Iraq. Viscous circle.
