how many times do i have to tell you it doesn't matter how often you post nonsense, it doesn't make it any more accurate.

just this past weekend, oprah was on the stump for obama. that's right, THREE DAYS AGO!

The Obama campaign answered the visit by the surrogate-in-chief with a raucous rally featuring its own roster of influential endorsers at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. In addition to Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Caroline Kennedy, California first lady Maria Shriver was at the rally -- and was formally introduced as part of the Obama camp.

Winfrey made essentially the same argument to women as former President Clinton made to African Americans: No knee-jerk voting, please.

"Every part of me believes in the empowerment of women," Winfrey said. "But the truth is I'm a free woman. Being free means you get to think for yourself and you get to decide for yourself what to do."

Well, golly gee, you sure get your knickers in a twist over little things don't you RC? I am sooooo sorry I missed that news bulletin. Last I read, Oprah was toning it down for the reason I gave.
Gosh, I bet you used to count paperclips at Walmart for a living. Or more likely, worked at a government job moving boxes from A to B and back again.

I think Chris Rock said it best a few years ago. He said that there will never EVER be a black vice president: "Some black guy would just shoot the president. Hell, I'd do it! Then I'd just get pardoned by the new black president. And even if I went to jail, what's gonna happen? I'd just be embraced and treated like a hero by a bunch of brothers!"

Condy Rice has a terrible reputation for her statements, hundreds of them, on record about Iraq.

We don't know anything about Rice. Being a diplomat she doesn't state her opinions and policies, although I suspect she's a Neo-con.

Rice is associated with GWB. She won't be chosen. She has no record.

Romney, hard to say. But I doubt he'll be chosen.

You're right, CT. Ray wants to be the stick man poking anything American.

Here, Ray. This is basically the last I read about Oprah. The latest news flashes I read noted Caroline K and Maria Shriver, not Oprah. Based on your venom against anything American and your obsession with minutiae, here's a related quote.

    Wednesday, January 23, 2008 8:32 AM

By: Susan Estrich Article Font Size Was it just last month that the Queen of Everything was everywhere, pulling tens of thousands of people into rallies in Iowa, stomping with Barack and Michelle Obama at just the point it seemed his campaign most needed a lift?
It's that point again. But no Oprah.
According to her representatives, she's busy negotiating a deal for the Oprah Winfrey Network. Do I dare say she has lawyers for that?
On her Web site, there are signs of a backlash, with some Oprah fans openly upset at what they see as her decision to put "race over gender" in her choice of her friend Obama over her friend Hillary, in her decision to throw her support behind the first black with a real chance to make it to the White House, as opposed to the might-be first woman president.
Perhaps even more troubling, more and more women, especially African-American women, seem to be angry at the very notion that this is a race or gender choice, as if they decide how to vote by comparing the importance of their skin color versus their genitalia, as opposed to examining things like issues and experience.

    Newsmax.com - Where is Oprah?

Perhaps you should do a bit more research, Ray, instead of picking itty-bitty quotes that suit your phony spiels and attacking posters.

well, let's try and breakdown why you made such a woefully uninformed post....

    1. newsmax.com why would you or anyone read the tripe on this site?
    2. the article in question is two weeks old...your post is from tuesday.
    3. estrich is a clinton schill. she recently wrote a book called "the case for hillary clinton".

^ Nope. I quoted that article coz it was the first one that came up that was related. Since you're such an expert on these issues, you should have a handle on that news report. As I said, the news flashes I have read do not mention Oprah. Read my posts.

You could never hurt my feelings, Ray. I don't have to deal with lightweights like you much anymore, and there are plenty of enlightened and well-mannered folk on this forum who know you for what you are. As usual, you extract the bits from posts that conveniently support your cockamamie theories and sweep away anything else.

Your Reagan thread is just another example of your inability to think or reason.

You should join an army, although I'd bet heavily that you wouldn't make it out of bootcamp.

Really, how? I'm not very familiar with his party at all. "Libertarian party" seems a bit of an oxymoron (I guess from an anarchist's point of view) but his supporters were certainly very vocal...
Sorry he has put himself up as a Rebublican candidate times before. They don't seem to mind him changing party when it suits him

^ For what? 55555 I posted my link so little Ray could fill in the blanks he missed. What, are YOU owned by Ray now? So you both can make unsubstantiated opinions but nobody else can make a reasoned comment? I think you both need help.

sweetheart, you cited a two week old opinion piece written by a clinton lackey from a website that has no credibilty.

sure everyone makes mistakes...but you brought all this embarrassment on yourself by insulting other posters and sending reds in which you referred to them as uninformed and they hadn't "listened" to your posts.

perhaps you're unable to see the irony so i'll lay it out for you....you claimed to have the 'real' info, but not only was your info incorrect, it was old and highly biased---and you didn't even know it.

you put your foot in your mouth. deal with it and move on.

I'm glad someone pointed this out. Mitt Romney will never EVER be President or VP because of this. He's a Mormon, and the vast majority of the middle of America (the Bible belt) views him as a blasphemer who is going straight to hell.

    Agree.

Romney won't be chosen as VP.

The VP for the GOP will be a conservative with a record and credentials. The VP will be chosen carefully to get votes, and there will also be more focus placed on a McCain VP because of McCain's age. He'll be 73 by the November election.

Jeb Bush is pretty conservative. Also conservative, fiscally. I think he's very intelligent.

But his political career is over, IMO.

    It's the last name.

There have been two Bushes in office already.

Both of the formers are not held in high regard.

Done in by his dad and brother I'm afraid. Had he known this was going to happen he would have made sure those 600 Florida votes that sent his brother to the white house got lost somewhere in the counting.

    And out of the race:

With Romney Gone, What Will McCain Do?

    Mitt Romney made the announcement
    at the Conservative Political Action
    Conference in Washington on Thursday.

If there was ever much doubt that Senator John McCain of Arizona was going to win the Republican presidential nomination after Super Tuesday, it was pretty much eliminated with the decision by Mitt Romney of Massachusetts to drop out the race this afternoon.

Ya, as I said, I pulled the first reference off google, forgetting who she is. So, for the dissenters, here's something like the news article I read. True, that info is out of date, and true Oprah is still stumping but she is not on the campaign trail WITH Obama. She's with the white chicks in California. Obama staff also do not want a tabloid celeb, no matter how many millions of fans she has, having her distracting voters away from Obama and thinking he's fluff with no solid policy plans.

I also see the celebs behind Clintie are saying they like Obama but that he's not "ready yet." Was Bill Clinton ready?
