Yeah, it was Dick Morris that introduced, and got Bill Clinton to use the Triangulation strategy. Taking core GOP issues, and making them his own, after the 1994 Congressional elections, that hammered the Ds.

Of course, he also has an ax to grind with Bill Clinton, so we should take his comments with a grain of self-serving salt.
Yeah, I think about this too. He makes barbs at both Bill and Hillary.

We'll see if he's right about the race issue.
He noted the "silent" concept of the race issue, and applying it to Super Tuesday.

I will be interested in seeing the White voter breakdown for Hillary vs. Obama in all of the Super Tuesday states.

I think Edwards has an outside chance at VP spot for the Demos. Not too sure how this ties up with the North/South split with Prez, but he will likely have enough delegates [to make that choice] to go for it if he wants.

    Just my opinion.

Obviously, if this keeps up, it clearly indicates Demo leaders think Obama has the best chance of winning the general election and being the next Pres. Getting interesting.

John Edwards to quit presidential race

DENVER - Democrat John Edwards is exiting the presidential race Wednesday, ending a scrappy underdog bid in which he steered his rivals toward progressive ideals while grappling with family hardship that roused voters' sympathies, The Associated Press has learned.

    Why Edwards Never Caught On

John Edwards is nothing if not dogged. It's a quality that made him rich, and won him a seat in the U.S. Senate, and it's what kept him on the campaign trail on the quest for the Democratic nomination for President for the better part of the last five years.
"John Edwards didn't really move to the left as much as he began to use the language of class war," said Michael Munger, a political science professor at Duke University. "And that was a tactic designed to appeal to the angry left in Iowa, and the to laid-off factory workers of South Carolina."

Fuck that bitch. I would support Obama even over McCain at this point, and I used to be a registered Republican.

Small government and get out of global police forcing.

McCain seems to be doing well in pulling the Republican political endorsements to him. Arnold has now said he will endorse McCain which will help him in Calif.

Actually, I think that's exactly what will happen, as long as Obama doesn't get assassinated.

Agree. Republicans are really up against it in winning. Their only hope is the Dems will self destruct with all their in fighting and squander a golden opportunity as they did in the last Presidential election.

Yeah, like we said before, his Mormonism is an issue against him.

It will be McCain. I don't like him.

McCain doesn't have the charisma (sorry, who already talked about that?) that Obama has -- star power. People are flocking to him and they are proud of him. Hilde is coming across as a harsh, brittle hag.
If Obama can keep on the straight and narrow, maintain his honest persona and charm, he'll get in, if he ain't picked off first.
VP...thought the rumour was Obama would appoint Edwards as attorney general (ohmegod). Wonder if Hilde would go for VP? Nah.

When hell freezes over. She already did eight years as second fiddle in the White House. Her ego wouldn't fit in the VP mansion.

    Obama - Gulliani?
    Obama - Limbaugh?
    Obama - Oprah?
