^ I tend to agree. However it doesn't help if children in society at large aren't sheilded from certain things (cigarettes being a good example).
But when it comes to McD's nobody's being forced to go - their advertising may be insidious, cynical and aimed squarely at kids but end of the day taking your kids there or explaining that it's utter crap is a choice.
Up until recently my wife was managing both branches of McD's here in Chiang Mai. In the 12 or so years she worked there she actually ate the food once. I don't think my boys will be eating there on any sort of a regular basis somehow
