For what claims to be the "Top 10 Democrats Sex Scandals in Congress" it's a pretty lame collection. 'Accused' seems to occur rather more regularly than 'convicted' or 'admitted'. And the shocking number 1? "testified in defense of nephew".

Well there Dr Bob, most of what you posted was "Alleged, Arrested, Accused of, but damn few convictions too, not many politicos ever do time or even go to court.
^ No. That's just not true, is it? There must at least 50 incidents in Br Bob's list where the defendant has either been found guilty or admitted to the crime.
AW Bullshit accused or arrested for--- don't count shit, I been arrested for everything from pissing on the street to attempted murder and I have no police record, never did have, one reason is because arrested or accused of does not mean you are guilty, I was always innocent and had the money to hire a good lawyer to prove it.

So no lie ...

Saw an excellent debate on CNN last night (the anchor and guests were clearly excited by such a juicy topic) in which people from both sides of the fence were agreeing he had to go, and then this gay guy phones in and asks what difference does it make and why is this illegal?
The consensus was: regardless of obviously being a hypocrite in terms of consistently voting against anything remotely pro-gay, he pleaded guilty. The Senator is claiming he did it so as to expedite the whole embarrassing process, forgetting that convicted criminals (even be it a misdemeanor) are not allowed to serve as CongressmenD'oh!

I hope Anderson Cooper wasn't hosting that segment, he'd have already cum in his pants.

Has anyone heard the tapescript of the police interrogation?! They've been playing it over and over on CNN. Not many places in the world could a cop talk to a Senator like that! Good for him, he wasn't taking any shit from Craig, and it led directly to the guilty plea:
Excerpts:
SENATOR CRAIG ARREST AUDIO RECORDING"CRAIG: I don't, ah, I am not gay. I don't do these kinds of things and ...
KARSNIA: It doesn't matter. I don't care about sexual preference or anything like that. Here's your stuff back sir. Um, I don't care about sexual preference.
CRAIG: I know you don't. You're out to enforce the law.
KARSNIA: Right.
CRAIG: But you shouldn't be out to entrap people either.
KARSNIA: This isn't entrapment.
CRAIG: All right.
KARSNIA: Um, you, you're skipping some parts here, but what, what about your hand?
CRAIG: What about it? I reached down, my foot like this. There was a piece of paper on the floor, I picked it up.
KARSNIA: OK.
CRAIG: What about my hand?
KARSNIA: Well, you're not being truthful with me. I'm kinda disappointed in you senator. I'm real disappointed in you right now...
KARSNIA: I know you're not going to fight me. But that's not the point. I would respect you and I still respect you. I don't disrespect you but I'm disrespected right now, and I'm not trying to act like I have all kinds of power or anything, but you're sitting here lying to a police officer.
CRAIG: I, I, I ...
———
KARSNIA: I am trained in this, and I know what I am doing. And I say you put your hand under there and you're going to sit there and ...
CRAIG: I admit I put my hand down...
CRAIG: I reached down with my right hand like this to pick up a piece of paper.
KARSNIA: Was your gold ring on your right hand at anytime today?
CRAIG: Of course not. Try to get it off. Look at it.
KARSNIA: OK. Then it was your left hand. I saw it with my own eyes.
CRAIG: All right, you saw something that didn't happen.
KARSNIA: Embarrassing, embarrassing. No wonder why we're going down the tubes."

It's not easy to be a maybe-gay Republican these days. You have to be stealth, soliciting affairs on the side while you publicly rail against same-sex marriage. You have a twink on the side, but a Bible in your hand, and there's always the chance you'll get caught. You are stuck between politics and, um, a hard place—it's a double life that rivals Bruce Wayne's. And then, you get exposed. Through careless IMs or public bathroom shenanigans, the whole thing comes toppling down like a house of cards, and no rainbow flag or conservative diatribes can save you from losing credibility with the gays and the GOP.
So what can you do to save your image, gay Republicans?
Inspired by the recent Senator Larry Craig mess, gay Republicans, you're in the PR/ER!
Accept the fact that hypocrisy hurts
Traub: "It's difficult to be a hypocrite in politics, and that's what's at work here. Being gay is immaterial and irrelevant. The problem is if you exercise hypocrisy in your policy positions and how you vote. Here's a guy [Craig] who has always stood up against the rights of gays and lesbians, and has supported a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. He has opposed efforts to give gays and lesbians equal protection under the law. He's been a leader on these issues. If he is gay, he is a complete hypocrite, and it is dangerous to get busted as a hypocrite in D.C."
"If Craig is gay, which we are assuming but none of us knows, I think he's handled this incredibly poorly. Though I'm not sure how you come back from years of standing up and discriminating against fellow gay citizens and explain it away. What do you say? Sorry, I'm a self-hater? The American public can be very forgiving—I'm not sure about the Idaho public—but in order to gain forgiveness you have to seek it, and to do that you need to admit what you have done wrong. In the case of Craig, that was being a hypocrite. You have to accept the the responsibility for what you have done. A well-worn cautionary note in politics: The cover up is worse than the crime."
"Craig should seek forgiveness. But what is he asking forgiveness for? For engaging in what is deemed lewd behavior? What he should really do if he is gay is come out and ask forgiveness for encouraging prejudice and hate against people who are just like him. He may lose a Senate seat as a result of it, but he will gain the respect of many others. Don't wait till your death bed to have a death-bed conversion."

Repressed sexuality and Republicanism is a minefield.
Salt Lake City spends the most per capita on motel Porn then any other place in the US.
The figures are surely reliable, because the vendor is a unit of the worlds biggest company (and a major Republican donor) GE, via it's unit NBC. GE is not only the worlds biggest company, it is also the worlds most profitable porn company.
GE is interesting, because not only is it the worlds biggest media conglomerate but it makes jet engines, horrific weapons of death and pain, medical equipment and God/Allah/Jehovah knows what else.

Craig is just one among dozens, if not hundreds, of political 'servant' dirt bags who run the country.
So why have so many gotten their undies in a twist over the usual?
cant be bothered to read the whole thread but it seems this guy is unlucky. He was looking for Goerge Michael and ended up with officer Dibble.
its a tough break and hos carrer is over. And rightly so.

News reports claim he's resigning today.

According to the media there have been rumors about bathroom escapades for years on him, and because he's voted against gay issues, people are calling him a hypocrit, etc.
As sleazy as politicians are, Senators seem to be held to certain standards, and bathroom jaunts turn people off.
............
Blavkgang you're either blind or stupid and I already know you're not blind. What about all the others in the list, you know, the ones that said GUILTY, SENTENCED, CONVICTED, plenty of them in there, how come you missed them? Pernicious old cnut that you are I never imagined you'd stoop so low as to support paedophiles, rapists, and murderers. I now regret not meeting you in CM, it would have been a good opportunity to piss in your drink.
btw, the republican convention is in minneapolis next year...so when the delegates arrive at the airport, they'll be walking right past craig's bathroom.
