i don't see it as funny at alll...this guy is a legislator who has direct influence on people's lives.
he voted yes on a constitutional ban on same sex marriage
he voted no on adding sexual orientation to the definition of hate crimes
he voted no on prohibiting job descrimination based on sexual orientation
