the problem is that 3 qtrs of almost every reg sea nba gm does not really showcase the professional gm as far as effort and strategy go. its a half throttle display until crunchtime. after watching the sport for so many yrs growing up its become increasingly difficult to stomach half-hearted effort levels.

as for what else would be on tv...probably less channels, which might be a good thing.

so whats the prognosis for the nba playoffs fellas?

despite their recent struggles, i think the BOS gm is most indicative of what CLE will look like in the playoffs. so i have them coming out of the east. gs will emerge from the west, but not without a couple gm 6s. finals depends on:

    - mcgee/pachulia vs thompson
    - how much smith and korver outdo clark/livingston
    - kyrie vs steph. if kyrie needs to win the battle like last yr
    - how much lebron can get into durants head

East finals predictions? Lets enjoy the next 2+ weeks first.

Cleveland gets Indy. Cavs bored or troubled? We'll see. Indy a crap road team, Cavs need to be up 2-0 on Tuesday or holy f@#k.

OKC-Houston, should be some great schoolyard ball as two MVP candidates get it on. West could see two upsets in round 1, excluding GSW and SAS of course.

cle v ind will be a snoozer.

okc v hou is a pretenders dance. neither stands a chance v gs or sa.

the real basketball starts in the conf finals, unfortunately. pretty much always the case.

109-108 is not a snoozer. Paul George takes that shot and its 110-109 indy.

Golbert for the Jazz hurt his knee as well. Hyperextended plus a bone bruise.

cle makes their normal rate of FTs and its a 7-8 pt gm. george and stephenson went off, kyrie was cold, smith/korver never got going and the cavs still won. not too concerned. ind has no answer on D. cle can amp up the pressure when it feels the need.

    gs v por...whats the call?

I feel the same as espn. Portland is always tough with Lilliard and McCollum, Nuric was a big add but he is out for at least the first game.

unfortunately, the folks at espn rarely get stuff right...

but i think gs will beat por in the end. might go 6, tho.

id absolutely love to see milwaukee and utah win, esp utah.

Hey Boston, all the whining of, "how come we're number one seed, and no one respects us?" ... now you know.

I would imagine having your younger sister die in a car crash the day before the game might affect you... Hang in Isaiah Thomas.

Oh yeaH and DRAYMOND GREEN. You dont often see defense energize the crowd and a team.... What a game.

green was rather incredible, indeed. POR had no answer for the traps in the 4th...talent alone wont win in the playoffs...need to be smart as well.

thomas played well. but BOS cant rebound...effort wins in the reg sea when most teams dont give it regularly. different story come the playoffs.

If he plays tomorrow he is fine, if he sits something is up... Wife watched the game with me and asked if he hurt his knee why is his calf being treated? Saw it first I guess. But for this the playoffs are good. No back to backs. So he sits tomorrow, Livingstone may as well, Barnes probably we are still strong. Klay has a big game we play D and no worries. Nuric is out as well.

Not playing gives him until Friday night to recover..

Cavs have changed gears, what happens on the road?

POR already gave its best shot. no nuric, no chance.

cavs have predictably upped the effort on D. no shocker there. but they are still a ways from hitting their stride. theyre in about 3rd. need to get to 5th if theyre going to beat gs/sa.

Well your Cavs have this guy named Lebron, if he cant make you bring it nobody can. I think Draymond learned to play at the next level from him

He himself resurrected the Cavs last year in the finals. Athletically, physically, and mentally.

ya, but unlike draymond, lebron is a frontrunning bitch who has a tendency to clam up when things get tough. kyrie bailed him out in gm 7 last yr.

draymond is a nutcase but hes about as far from a choker as you can get.

    ive only watched it 10x.

lebron is clutch on D...but far from it on O. kyrie sealed the W with the most clutch shot in the history of basketball.

I gotta believe you and love it. We would have fun comparing positions this year. Use two centers as neither have a dominant one. Bummer on Bogut for you. The guy plays so freaking hard.
