I was kinda buzzed up for this part of the trip so if you Know the spot clue me in. I was lucky to be with friends. I do not recommend being half as fucked up as I was for any adventure in Laos.

Could be. I think there was a water wheel of sorts on the grounds.

Yes there is a water wheel that powers a generator in the vicinity. Not sure when you were there last but a few things have changed. There is quite a nice bar and huts near the small beach near the falls these days.

The entry fee is now 35,000 Kip though as well.

I thought of Earl when I saw this. Please do not ask why it was just because. I might have been on the piss. So what's new.

Was there in December 2016. I was with friends so I really did not recall having to pay. I did stay at a place on the island that I did pay for. Kind of trendy punk like little sprogs. Glad I brought my own guitar.
