The Royal Thai Police is questioning six people handed over by the military after they were arrested in Udon Thani province for allegedly stealing a total of 885 handguns and assault rifles from a border patrol police company 245 in 2012.

Taking charge of interrogating the seven suspects was Pol Gen Srivara Rangsipramanakul.

The military handed over all the men to the police to find out whether they had any link to the so-called “Khon Kaen” model, an anti government armed resistance group in 2012.

The military held them captive at an undisclosed place in Udon Thani and detained them at Army Area 11.

They were suspected of stealing a total of 885 handguns and assault rifles from the BPP 245 base.

They were later handed over to the police for further interrogation.
