Am I suitable for a lower International School

I have a decades experience of youth work and teaching EFL in Thailand a B.SC from a world class university and an A.B.D M.A. I planned to laze around until International schools were recruiting but I've wasted a nice lest egg lounging round Thailand work free for 2 years.Should I wait for a 60k big international school or just settle for an easy 40k gig?

"Am I suitable for a lower International School"

Given your other threads, probably not.

Sorry and all that, no offence, but you did ask.

This is getting boring now I spoke to kenkanife (?) on FB and he is in different to Smeg's decade of trolling despite being the primary target of Smeg and his decade long obsession

Not much going for black paramedics based in Gibraltar, around Thailand nowadays. Unfortunately.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this but I miss Bangkok Phil's ajarnforum.net... He is arrogant beyond belief and his online persona is like conceited beyond measure but at least that forum wasn't so bitchy and lame

Bangkokpill gave up on ajarnforum.net years ago...Louis the Son of Abraham and his rapidly rotating crew of increasingly feckless mods took over in an attempt to achieve bitchy and lame status. The Pill, as he is affectionately known in certain circles, still operates Ajarn.com: it's worth a visit if you have absolutely nothing else to do and the zoo is closed...

Kia Ora (hello) Rainman, welcome aboard mate..

You should be fine with those qualifications.

I only have a degree in Science and a Celta, but even that was enough to teach at Sarasas International, after a demo-lesson, etc...

Hated it though, so gave my notice and went up north.

Must you live in Bangkok, or are you open to other areas? remember, 'better' school, usually means more responsibilities/pressure and duties..

Rather than thinking "lower" maybe you should think "provincial". I'm sure there are schools in places other than Bangkok.

    Yep..
Terribly unfortunate that the few really fucked over a long-standing, well-known, and established forum of this type.

I must admit Bkk Phil's self indulgent tweets on ajarn.com can be quite cringeworthy

Then again, come to think of it, the whole twitter idea is quite ego massaging for those who need it

BKK Phil mostly moans about Thailand not be like England these days on Twitter- you're not going to miss much by avoiding it. The actual job section from Ajarn is mostly pretty mediocre when it comes to the jobs offered.
Have a butchers at this: List of Schools | ISAT
What level do you want to teach?
Any preference for curriculum? Choose PYP [ cough, cough]
Don't get stuck in a 40k hole for years like I did. Should have made the move to a better paying school 5 years ago, my savings are in a pretty crap state due to my laziness about changing my work situation.

The difference in work pace and expectations is huge- the demands aren't stressful per say as an international school will be better managed than a 40k school- it makes a massive difference having supportive admin and plenty of professional development opportunities.

Ah, I see that Cyrille has lots to contribute as usual! Anything,Cy? Not one little thing? A nugget of info? After all, you are a very happy and successful person who even owns his own automatic washing machine. How's that towel rail?
