    Television Provider

I am in a village west of Sisaket. Does anyone know if there is a tv provider other than True Visions? I've had True Visions, but am very unhappy with them. They have lost HBO and Cinemax, and replaced them with the cheapest programming they could while leaving my bill the same.

Use https://knd1.ilikehd.com/kaneda/web/tv/?a=home# for live sports (40thb for 3 hours.)

^Kind of what I was thinking. I unplugged my cable years ago in favor of downloading torrents, but you have to have decent connections.

Do I need to buy an HD Antenna?
    Hardware

Once you ship your cable box back to its Machiavellian overlords, you'll need a way to funnel streaming content directly to your TV. The good news is that this process is both easy and inexpensive, and you may even own the necessary components already.
    HD Antenna

The first thing you may want to consider is an HD antenna.
Cancel the above. I just read Mr Norton's reply.

    This is great.

    https://knd1.ilikehd.com/kaneda/web/tv/

Can pay for only 2 hrs of you want (30thb), all the channels in the World. Maybe. All the sports ones anyway.

Can transfer from K-Bank Online, say 300 thb. This gives you 300 points. When a match or sporting event is on for 3 hours you just select '3 Hrs All channels - 40thb' and off you go.

    Nope, Kodi awaits.

I'm perfectly happy downloading anything that catches my eye and then binge watching movies and TV series.

OK, she's not too happy when I watch all 8 series of house, or whatever, in one go, but life's like that and you'll get used to it.

    Ah, the LINUX investigation.

Well, a friend kindly downloaded in onto a lap top for me. It all looked very good. Shiny.

I then switched the lappy off and carried on about my business.
Friend left and a week or 2 later, asked how it was all going?
Bugger. I'd forgotten all about it.

    Switched it on and..............

    Don't work.

    Ah well.

    Reported the situation to mate.

    Ah well.

So, all in all, no worries with LINUX.

    It's brilliant.

My neighbor has a sat dish from SATHINT. Set up by a local provider. Don't know much about it but worth a look.

    Yep..
All of which needs to be examined and fitted for countryside settings.

    Phone lines?
    Wi-Fi box?
    Wireless router?

As this subject matter has been gone over more than a few times here, I might suggest that he peruse TD section archives....probably in The Multi-Media Forum, Computers, or Members....

Very helpful info/advice if residing in rural Nakhon Nowhere.

....or, GOOGLE along the lines of:

    Satellite/Cable Television available in Thailand.
    [mix/matched one's search query]

Most don't realize there are numerous options outside of fucking TRUE....and quite readily available - sometimes expensive.

That ilikehd has monthly subscriptions. Pay as you go. Sign up, stick 100 baht onto it and check it out.

All the TV cable channels from back home. BBC kids and all that lark.

If you like it you can get one of the monthly packages.
