not to mention invading iraq (when myself and millions around the world, especially europe were protesting against the invasion, before it happened) as that invasion caused the rise of ISIS and the instability of syria which led to the million + refugees (among others getting on the "train") moving into europe causing the obvious social stresses and a few terror attacks.

come on eso, you are against ANY establishment politician or historical figure.

i was mentioning kissinger in terms of being more of a "realist" compared to the neo-cons who've ruled d.c. for the last few decades.

also, do you think kissinger would advise obama to be for all this nonsense about russia's "hacking the u.s. election" (which a majority of americans now believe) because wikileaks posted some embarrassing e-mails from the dnc and podesta?

Kissinger was on board with Hillary and her Libya policies. "Realist"?? IMO he's one of the original neo-cons.

yep, and unlike some of the sensitive (looking for their "safe places" with "trigger warnings") americans i love the fact trump shoots from the hip with no fear.

unlke most politicians who you can tell are thinking one hundred things while trying to make a simple sentence, trump just talks (agree with him or not, it's genuine).

great article from glen greenwald who published in the guardian edward snowden documents, detailing united states and british global surveillance programs.

    ----------------------
IN JANUARY, 1961, Dwight Eisenhower delivered his farewell address after serving two terms as U.S. president; the five-star general chose to warn Americans of this specific threat to democracy: “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” That warning was issued prior to the decadelong escalation of the Vietnam War, three more decades of Cold War mania, and the post-9/11 era, all of which radically expanded that unelected faction’s power even further.

This is the faction that is now engaged in open warfare against the duly elected and already widely disliked president-elect, Donald Trump. They are using classic Cold War dirty tactics and the defining ingredients of what has until recently been denounced as “Fake News.”

FOR MONTHS, the CIA, with unprecedented clarity, overtly threw its weight behind Hillary Clinton’s candidacy and sought to defeat Donald Trump. In August, former acting CIA Director Michael Morell announced his endorsement of Clinton in the New York Times and claimed that “Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.” The CIA and NSA director under George W. Bush, Gen. Michael Hayden, also endorsed Clinton, and went to the Washington Post to warn, in the week before the election, that “Donald Trump really does sound a lot like Vladimir Putin,” adding that Trump is “the useful fool, some naif, manipulated by Moscow, secretly held in contempt, but whose blind support is happily accepted and exploited.”

It is not hard to understand why the CIA preferred Clinton over Trump. Clinton was critical of Obama for restraining the CIA’s proxy war in Syria and was eager to expand that war, while Trump denounced it. Clinton clearly wanted a harder line than Obama took against the CIA’s long-standing foes in Moscow, while Trump wanted improved relations and greater cooperation. In general, Clinton defended and intended to extend the decadeslong international military order on which the CIA and Pentagon’s preeminence depends, while Trump — through a still-uncertain mix of instability and extremist conviction — posed a threat to it.

This gets even better, the unnamed former supposed British intelligence official gave his dodgy dossier to the Clinton campaign but even they didn't see fit to release the details knowing full well it was all shit. Basically some brit scammed the Clinton campaign for a few mill and while they dismissed it the libtard media have swallowed it hook line and sinker.

Ex-British intelligence officer 'behind Trump Russia dossier' named

The identity of the former British intelligence officer said to have prepared documents claiming Russia has compromising material on Donald Trump has been revealed.

Christopher Steele is understood to be the author of the series of memos regarding the US president-elect.

They include unsubstantiated allegations that Mr Trump's election team colluded with Russia.

Mr Trump has called the allegations "fake news, phoney stuff".

Mr Steele is said to be a former member of the Secret Intelligence Service, MI6, and has been a director of Orbis - which describes itself as a leading corporate intelligence company.

Top government ethics official denounces Trump's business plans

WASHINGTON — In an unusual rebuke of an incoming president, the federal government's top ethics official Wednesday joined a wave of ethics watchdogs denouncing President-elect Donald Trump's plan to retain his financial interest in his global real-estate and branding empire.

"The plan the president has announced doesn't meet the standards that the best of his nominees are meeting and that every president in the past four decades has met," Walter Shaub, the head of the Office of Government Ethics, told reporters at the news conference Wednesday afternoon.

He called Trump's pledge to step away from management of his company "meaningless from a conflicts of interest perspective."...

Trump acknowledges Russian involvement in meddling in U.S. elections

President-elect Donald Trump acknowledged for the first time Wednesday that he believes Russian operatives hacked the Democratic Party during the election, but he continued to dispute intelligence reports that Moscow acted to help him win.

“I think it was Russia,” Trump said at a news conference in New York when asked who was responsible for the public leaks of Democratic emails during the campaign...

The fact that the ex MI6 agent has been named just lends more credibility to the dossier. Yet the lemmings are still claiming its fake news. Clearly it is not.

That well known source of truth and accuracy, the BBC is now entering the news wars with more fodder to lighten the hearts of our TD libtards......

BBC correspondent Paul Wood came forward Wednesday to reveal that there are multiple intelligence sources alleging Russia is in possession of potentially embarrassing or compromising material regarding President-elect Donald Trump. Formerly, only a single source was known to have been aware of the alleged material.

"I saw the report, compiled by the former British intelligence officer, back in October," Wood said. "He is not, and this is the crucial thing, the only source for this.” The Wall Street Journalalleges the British source is Christopher Steele, a director of the London-based Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd.

A member of the U.S. intelligence community also told Wood that "at least one East European intelligence service was aware 'that the Russians had kompromat or compromising material on Mr. Trump,'" Raw Story reports. Wood said that he "got a message back" from the U.S. intelligence community member and that there is reportedly "more than one tape, not just video, but audio as well, on more than one date, in more than one place, in both Moscow and St. Petersburg."

Wood did add, however, that "nobody should believe something just because an intelligence agent says it."

Very decent of Mr. Wood to add this bit into the news flash....

BuzzFeedNews has been heavily criticized for publishing the unsubstantiated intelligence in full Tuesday night, which alleges collusion between Trump and Russia as well as the existence of a tape that would be embarrassing for Trump were it to be released. CNN carried similar, but less detailed, allegations. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday denied the reports and called them "an absolute fiction" and "a total bluff." Trump has called the reports "fake news" and dismissed all that has been alleged.

BBC claims a second source backs up Trump dossier

This is going to be much better entertainment than any of that lame "birther" stuff we saw with Obama. One day in the future there is going to be a whole TV series made about the Donald era and it's political intrigues......
