I'm sure she's quite pleased with how its turned out.

All the collateral and she doesn't even have to accept deposits.

On a financial basis, I like it. For too long I have been the one assuming responsibility - western style. Now, I am a free man.
Naturally, this is dependent upon her financial expertise. She is a local in our area plus her culture make it very easy. She knows where to source things.
Are you afraid to let go of control?
Furthermore, although my Thai proficiency is satisfactory, Thai communicating with Thai is so much easier.

Would you relinquish all financial control to your partner if your net worth was in the $millions?-

Never relinquish control of the spondoolies, Never. There are other ways. Form a corporation etc if you feel the need to put the cock on the block, putting it all in the Mia's name is just madness. The trick is to be worth more alive to the shifty coonts than dead

I gave her a few million to blow any way she wanted when we were in Laos.

Two million kip, I could part with that. They call fish "took!" Haha.

BLD is spot on. Worth more alive than dead.

It is a wife's job to look after the home. This includes shopping, paying all the bills, etc.

I wouldn't call it relinquishing control. More like delegation.
