    Buondi Danon. Restoran........tino.

Tonight the dog, Xzyte and myself dined at the upmarket trattoria previously known as the 80baht spaghetti shop.

Only Italian nosh is available on this trattoria's authentic Italian menu. No effort or expense has been spared in making this establishment a highly popular eatery and I was surprised that we were able to get a table without having to queue.

The decor was typically Italian except for a few pictures of the King. The tables were covered cleverly in fine floor vinyl and all had place mats.

The prices were very reasonable and today they had Rabbit Coniglio on speciay at a mere 220baht.

I wish that I had seen that sign in time but alas, such was not the case and I went for something from the menu.

The staff were very attentive and I couldnt fault the service at all.

As you can see they were devoted to serving the customers.

This young waitress was clearly delighted to be taking an order from a take away customer.

    Edited to add daytime picture.

This fine dish is what the dog and Xzyte ordered and I was kicking myself when it was served as I knew that I should have ordered that one. D'oh.

I ordered the veal escallope in white wine sauce which was actually pork but very tender nonetheless.

Of course, all our meals were served with garlic bread which was actually quite nice.

I wolfed my meal down and was left feeling a little hungry still so I then ordered a nice chicken salad.

All in all I would recommend this fine trattoria which is located about 2 kilometres up the road from the dogs gaff. If you are ever in Jomtiem and feel like treating yourself, do yourself a favour and make your way to Buondi Danon. You may have to mention my name to get a table without having to wait but hey, it's not what, but who you know.

    Bon Appetito.

Another fine (even if sarcastic) review.

I am actually having lamb withdrawals but I will cope. The local supermarket has lamb at almost the same price as in Australia but I have no way of cooking anything yet. Just now I am enjoying Thai food more than ever but I know that sooner or later I will hit the Thai food wall.
Next time you see me there will be less of me.

btw, will be in Bangers 21,22, and 23 January.
