Well ..... those pictures from Loy Toy certainly got a reaction .

    You do realise it's 4 different homes - don't you ?

But I think this is the one that has made you say ' Wow ' .

Loy Toy said about this ........ " This is the first house that I built and still is our favourite.
Bought the ground floor as a shell construction and finished it off.
    "

Yeah, I did locate his reference to them later - but there is no building thread. LT and his wife are apparently quite accomplished builders. So this was not their house[s]. Still "Wow!"

The house above I purchased as a ground floor shell and added the upstairs floor.

In fact I have modified the floor plan adding another 100 square metres downstairs, building a new kitchen and gymnasium. Working on the garage area today and then on to the garden bungalow that members here who have used it call the Love Shack.

The others I built from scratch.

Actually Dillinger ................ Hmmmmmm ................... I do see what you mean.

And it's so unlike you to mock someone's travails .

It would be easy to Photoshop this but this is a kind , gentle Thread and I do like koman .

Then again I've always liked Dillinger's more acid angles on the World .

    Never seen this thread before.

Just incredibly impressive to view all the houses, my favorites being the Thai style wooden ones.

But the fruitiest one must be L/T's EH.

And WE are waiting for you to start building something - anything - so you can do another building thread. Or maybe you can just walk around and find some neighbor's build and do a thread on that like I saw someone else do a while back.

Yes Steve . The carriage definitely brings down the tone of Wayne Rooney's house .

Terry57 ........... That monstrous house is just there to see if anyone is really looking .

Remember that Ukrainian leader who fled to Russia ?
Well this is the secret little dacha he built for himself out in the countryside .
Cute little place don't you think ?

I'm honoured (and it reminds me that I really should do an update to my thread)

    It's my favourite Roobs .

    Always has been .

It combines the clean modernity of say ootai or koman with a good bit of rustic like Smithson .

I never did like Old Monkey's . It's a fantastic build but it looks like an Enterprise Zone construction for a couple of IT businesses .

    Or a Group Surgery for 3 Doctors , a dentist and a Vet .

No . My personal Gold Medal goes to yours .

Wasp, I tried to send a personal message but I don't have enough posts yet.
I was just asking ... your personal choices are interesting to see but can you show them a bit bigger please?

And you say that old monkey is not a favourite but it,s right there ?

Old Monkey has 130 000 reads . I have to recognise that it's a technically fabulous build and it's a wonderful Thread . But I wouldn't want to live there .
It would be a good house for a James Bond villain .
The swimming pool looks like Walsall Town Council had some funds left over so they built a pool . It's way way too big . It's not comfy .
That other expanse of filter beds is ugly and someone had too much free time messing around like that .
It's something that's a theory ..... but in the creation it's unattractive and totally unnecessary .
    Somebody there needs a ' chillout ' tablet .

    Here are your piccies .
    ....................

    and okay okay ...........
