    Triple O White Spot

There was an advertising supplement in yesterday's Post that touted the "Triple O White Spot" which is in the Food Hall at Central World. Anyone tried it yet?

From their Hong Kong Web Page:

Sadly, many of us are quite lazy. Can't be bothered to click on external links. Can't be bothered to go back and read an entire thread before posting. Can't even be bothered to read through an entire post before commenting....

    c'mon man, that's $43 (aus) for a burger, a bowl of chili, a beer and a slice o' pie.
Kind of expensive, at half the price, anywhere in the world. In Thailand? fuckin' outrageous.

Does Ajarn have a dreamers corner ? because at those prices I bet they get a lot of teechers in there blowing half their weeks salary on a quick feed.

The Witch's Tavern is alright for a drink or two, if you happen to be in the area - plenty of 'talent' and live music.

I was in squaare-one on Friday afternoon and as I was their only customer I was well looked after...

I love those bars where the lady drink is cheaper than my beer...well these girls like to play pool but I dont'...I like to watch...and they were worth looking at...not sure whether Taffy knows anything about the age rules for a bar but then with a name like that probably not...surfice to say you're safer to let them kneel in the bar than take them out the door...

sorry OT I know cause I didn't try their burgers...

I'm leaving Korat at about 7 AM by bus. Should be able to get to lunch by about 11:30. Still not sure of the venue, though.

Indeed, I left Korat today on the 7 AM Ratchasima Tour bus. I had originally intended to get a burger at the Triple O White Spot at Central World. I found it, but, alas and contrary to the write up in the Post ad supplement, it is not yet open.

Fortunately, I had a backup burger spot which is the one found by MeMock called The Garage on the second floor of the All Seasons complex which is conveniently close to the US Embassy which was my destination for the day.

Meeting time was 11:30 AM, but I was the only one who showed up.
The burger was wonderful: Big hunk of meat, a lovely slice of melted cheddar cheese on top, tomatoes, onion, lettuce and some cole slaw and wedge slice potatoes on the side. Well worth the 210 baht price. (If you want a cheaper burger, Burger King is right next door. If you want a lesser but similarly priced burger, Sizzler is next to Burger King.)

I'm sorry I missed you all. Maybe next time.
