The simple fact is that the British have no need to be in those meetings since they will not be involved in the conflict. The have no "need to know" any longer. Just routine operating procedure.

Mr Putin said Russia did not rule out supporting a UN Security Council resolution authorising force, if it was proved "beyond doubt" that the Syrian government used chemical weapons.

For the sake of controversy, why does anyone care what happens in Syria? More people die from diseases, car wrecks, natural catastrophe's, murder, on birth in one day than died in this event? Nobody seems to want to wage war over stupidity, lack of medical help, criminal elements and lastly radio active waste water draining into the oceans food chain from Fukishima Power Plant?

I mean like get a reality check here folks. Killing is a the way to "0" population growth. If you die from chemical weapons is it more lethal than say dieing from a 500 pound block buster?

Germany takes 5,000 and the right wing staged protests against it, how pathetic.
