    Books: Free Worldwide Delivery

    Alright chaps?

I know a lot of you will have kindles and so on, but, I was made aware of the following website earlier (my bday soon and big sis wants to buy me a book): Free delivery worldwide on all books from The Book Depository seeing as how the delivery costs often make it not worth buying from abroad I thought I'd share as this lot offer free delivery. worldwide..

Fill your boots, or not, as the case may be.

Al: This is excellent stuff. I read maybe 200 or so books a year, and living in the jungle,Amazon shipping costs were killing me. Then, about two or three years ago, I got a Kindle and the problem went away. However, I am currently reading a great author, and only four of his many books are on Kindle. I am on the last. Your site has a bunch of his books I am looking for. It's late, and I'm a bit hammered, but I will check it out in detail manana. I hate putting my credit card out there - right now I have only one card, and use it for nothing but Amazon. Do you have any idea how reliable this site is? Thanks,

I've no idea about it's reliability, but, if my sister is going to trust it then I'd say it was OK.

She'll be sending me some books in the next week or so, I'll report back on the reliability etc...

Looking at the prices I now realise why I have a Kindle. My copy of "The Big Sleep" cost me nothing. I now have over 4000 Kindle books and have more fun collecting them than reading them.

Bukowski does not come across as very likeable as I, for some reason thought he would .

    Thanks for the gesture, Al...

Browsing their inventory and selection, they seem to be highly limited.

Frankly, there are a boat load of online/physical booksellers that offer free s&h with much more outstanding variety and offerings.

^No worries, I haven't had much of a browse of it myself yet so can't really comment on that.

It was the free international delivery that I thought might interest people.

    books arrived today.

they were despatched on the 5th of April, I think we have had either 2 or 3 bank holidays since then. So just over two weeks (closer to three?). They said it would be 7-10 days on the website.

I'm currently using an online book site, the link to which was provided by Aberlour and I keep forgetting to thank him.

It has just about everything needed.

Check it out when you're done with your B-day package, Al...

I've used that mate, got a few ebooks off it. It's really good. Nothing like a real book though.
